After the game on July 04 Chris Tillman was optioned to Bowie and will be recalled after the ALl-Star Break after his mandatory ten days is up. This is to keep him on a regular schedule until his spot in the rotation is needed. The corresponding move has yet to be determined.

did you make this up? I have checked the orioles site I didn`t find anything about this. Than I checked masn and roch who usually is on top of things theres nothing there either. This is something that calabrams would do which is going to make me even more angry.

From Britts Bird Watch you could read the following.

The team was going to option Tillman after his start no matter what and this move keeps him on schedule rather than getting a long layoff with the break. Tillman will stay the minimum of 10 days in the Minors and come back to throw for the finale against Detroit on July 15. The team’s rotation heading into the break will be Jake Arrieta on Thursday, Dana Eveland or Michael Gonzalez for Friday, Jason Hammel on Saturday and Wei-Yin Chen on Sunday.

am sorry I pretty much accused you. But I just read it I don`t know why they are not reporting it. Guess to keep it tight lipped.

they are optionioning him only to keep him on schedule. he will be back. he pitched a gem today . just what we needed. aside from errors. we had 3 superb starts in a row. and took the series.

This move makes sense. He wouldn't be pitching any time soon anyway so why not let him go down and get some work in.

This makes perfect sense. You, as usual, are correct in everything you have stated in this thread. You know that I am a huge Tillman fan from way back, did you get to see my post from that thread a few days ago before it got deleted? Just curious, I am so happy that Buck let Tillman throw 125 pitches though. Tillman is a Verlander/DCab type. Freak of nature. Can throw a ton of pitches without a major drop in velocity or injury, it seems. Anyway, I still say that we UNLEASH Tillman or trade him to Detroit. I would be sad to see him go, but he needs to be somewhere where he can complete a no-hitter instead of being pulled in the 6th or 7th.

Yes, I saw your earlier deleted post. Getting his start at Norfolk on a regular rest period will only enhance his ability to perform at the MLB Level. This was/is a very good move because of the time frame involved (All Star Break).

I am going to regret this.

There is no crying in baseball. If he was indeed crying then I think they should leave him at Bowie until he grows up.

this is a managerial move because he won't start again before the break. He's already slated to start in the Detroit series.

How can someone with his supposed knowledge be so dense???

His inability to grasp the concept of baseball as it is played today just totally astounds me.

His hatred of William Nathaniel clouds his vision as if he was suffering from constipation yet has diarrhea of the mouth. Unexplainable.

I have already regretted replying, if you have not noticed. Maybe in September I will respond to him again.

He's an absolute waste and adds nothing constructive to the board. He whines and cries and carries on about everything imaginable. After a great pitching performance and club victory yesterday on an enjoyable day like the forth of July he still found a way to create a negative thread. He called it "errors" because the O's made two errors in the game and it's all he could come up with. I was gone for a while and got back in later and the thread was deleted. At least the mods got it right that time.

It's in his nature to be miserable I guess. Poor guy, NOT...lol
