Any word on Markakis lately? I read somewhere that he should be back after the All Star game. I don't remember where I read it though.

Roch, among others, has said "after the All-Star break." We start a home series with the Tigers on Friday the 13th.

On a bright note, it's also Friday the 13th for Detroit. :)

Would the person who predicted that Avery, Flaherty, and Andino would all go hitless last night care to make any negative predictions for this afternoon's game? :)

So if the Orioles can get through these next five games credibly they get Markakis back to play RF and bat second or third in the order. That lets Davis DH and play 1B and it allows Showalter to have Reynolds and Betemit on the field less. That has to help.

I'm not sure who that was, but the middle of the order definitely won't hit multiple homers, especially none of the 3-run variety.

p00pypants might consider predicting 0-fers for Davis, Jones and Thome today. Those three guys could do some more serious damage than you'd expect from Avery, Flaherty and Andino.

Go ahead, pants! Make some predictions!

Thorne just said that the Orioles are 15-10-3 is "series wins" this year and that they won 16 series all last year. So with a win today they'll tie that mark.

I could go for it.

That was a nice inning for Tillman... 13 pitches, 8 of them strikes.

Long, long ball to left for Adam Jones! It's 1-0.

Good inning for Tillman. What are they planning to do with Reyolnds and Davis with Thome at DH now? I would say trade Reynolds because Davis deserves more playing time. Jones nice home run.

It's not a matter of "revenge" because the Bedard trade was so long ago but good games for Tillman and Jones today would be sweeter for them against the Mariners, I'm sure.

It wouldn't surprise me if Betemit and/or Reynolds is traded this month. Betemit's hitting well right now, at least. Too bad that Reynolds is in a funky streak.

Thanks. That's actually one of the three links I had bookmarked from you in the past. Sometimes they have the game on, most times they don't. Nice to see they have it on today. Thanks again 20twelve.

Tillman had another 3-up/3-down inning and threw 11 pitches, seven of them strikes. If "efficiency" is what he's after, 24 pitches in two innings ain't bad.
