Stubbs Career numbers vs lefties are just as good as Hairstons, plus he is younger and he is a Much better fielder with a good arm and speed.

Stubbs would be an upgrade for us. Good speed, defense, and a little pop. Strikes out a ton but he has value. Kind of like a crumbier version of BJ Upton. I don't know why they wouldn't dh/1b Swisher and move Stubbs to right. That's a great defensive outfield with Brantley, Bourn, and Stubbs.

Drew Stubbs is better than what we have and he is still under control. I would trade for him if the price were reasonable.

I'd rather have Brantley. He has better plate discipline. Maybe we can give them Duda for Brantley.

I say pass because he will cost us a player or two out of our minor leagues.
A guy that k's 205 times in a season while hitting 15 home runs and with a career .312 on base seems to me to be the kind of player you avoid not trade prospects for.

Mets need power, it wouldn't make sense to trade Duda (he may be able to put up 25 homeruns this year), Mets need to play Duda in LF and focus on fixing RF as Baxter and company aren't going to cut it. Right field is where the need is, really the entire outfield could use upgrading but Duda in LF and Kirk/M. Byrd/ in CF might be ok, RF is the ????? in my opinion.

Meh. I don't know. Looking at his career numbers and keeping in mind his power numbers are padded due to playing in Cinci, I don't think we're looking at a significant upgrade from Andres Torres. A bit more pop/speed than Torres, but career BA and OBP are very close. Bottom line: a platoon player

Great speed, great glove, some pop, strikes out a lot. Sounds like Den Dekker who cost the Mets nothing.

In right field Stubbs would be a platoon option against left handed pitching. He will strike out at the same rate but will hit for a higher average and more home runs. Stolen bases and pinch running would also be a plus with his greater defense in a large field and a strong arm.
