    • D'Arnaud the next Mike Piazza or next Mackey Sasser?

That doesn't make sense. If he's legit, then you want to keep him and let him hit behind Davis.

Wright, Davis, D'arnaud could be a very good 3-4-5.

Mine too.

I know its hard to believe but he did have a good throw to second. He did throw out Vince Coleman who always gave Met catches fits.

The only thing I remember about Mackey Sasser was he used to pound the ball in the catcher's mitt 3-4 times before throwing it back to the pitcher. . .after every pitch.

That started happening after he got into a collision with a Braves player.

Before the yips Mackey was cool.

I would settle for a player somewhere in between.

Mackey Sasser was a halfway decent hitter. He just had this psychological thing about throwing the ball back to the pitcher.

From what I've read about D'Arnaud, scouts compare him more toward a Gary Carter type catcher. I'll take that in a heartbeat.

Heck, Id even settle if he were the next John Stearns.

Maybe more like a carlos Ruiz, borderline Russel Martin.I don't think he'll be as good as Piazza nor as average as Sasser. And hopefully there's no studder in his throw back to the pitcher.
