He seems like hands down the best catching prospect in all of baseball? That true? Man, a catcher who plays great defense along with a very good bat, so rare....

Having too many of your "eggs" at a catcher position is dangerous.

Oh, I agree, which shows how bad the Mets team was from last year that even though you may be adding a big piece to getting better, you're still lousy at 3 outfield positions and second base , and you have no bullpen. Perhaps if Parnell continues to get better, and I actually am a huge, huge fan of Edgin. But other than that, I don't know what else. Here's another big issue in the next year or two: 7 of the Mets top ten prospects(Baseball America rankings) are pitchers. Nimmo, Cecchini and Flores are the only three position players, and Flores I don't ever see as part of the future because he's blocked by Wright. And Nimmo and Cecchini, if they ever make it, sound like they're a good four or five years away. Sounds like you're going to have to have stop gaps in the outfield for a while.

I don't how great his D is, he only threw out about 25% in his minor league career.

I never get too worried about minor league CS% there is a reason Billy Hamilton 155 bases this year, Minor league pitchers are awful at holding runners on.
