We might have to throw in Flores. I'd still do it. David has 3B locked for next 8 years. And NO Wilmer can't play shortstop or 2B. His body is developing into a Miguel Cabrera-type mold.
Then again, since Anthopoulus is clearly going for it, he'll probably want Major League ready pieces...
NO. They don't want prospects back. They want to win now. So that means one of Parnell, Francisco, or Duda would be in there.
My best guess is its Dickey and Parnell for Gose, D'arnaud, and Nolin.
Rosenthal is the source, by the way. He says that's how the Blue Jays and Marlins trade got so out of hand (12 players).
We could be looking at...
Dickey + Niese + Tejada + Parnell + Flores = Reyes + D'Arnaud + Gose + Snygaarden + I don't know who else there is, lol...
>>>I dont think D'Arnaud is in the deal. It was just reported Gose is in it, I cant see them trading both.
No, no. It read more like Anthopoulus wouldn't trade JUST Dickey for D'Arnaud. We'd have to throw in someone else (prospect or ML-ready contributor) for D'Arnaud and another prospect.
Rosenthal's point being that to make the trade work, more pieces would have to be added, balanced, added, balanced, etc, etc. Hence the magnitude of the TOR-MIA blockbuster.
>>>We aren't trading both Neise and Dickey. We aren't the Marlins
You sure about that? Both franchises have cheap owners (relative to their geographical locales) and were fighting for 4th place in the division in late September.
