Total phony. Why would he extend with the Mets if he truly cared about wi Ning. As my awesome grand pop pop always says, "It's all about the coin folks. Respect me."

yea...because the Mets are GUARANTEED not to win a thing at any point in the next 8 years right? Perhaps there have been internal discussions between Wright and the FO about future moves during the next couple of years that satisfied Wright? Think before you post.

What's so great about being put on a team that's built to win? Winning with great players around you is a passive success at best. Being part of the creating a winning team is a more worthwhile goal.

Philly fans are adorable. 1 decent run over 130 years and they think they are the authority on winning franchises.

"Yeah that Mets system is loaded with blue-chippers. Good one."

The Mets have a brighter future than the phillies, a fact.

Phillies will shortly sell of their 'fantastic rotation' and try and live with Howards horrible contract.

Utley and Rollins are on their ways out too.

'76 - '83 was also a good run and admittedly the Mets have never had a run like that or '07 - '11

However, let's be honest. There was no way Mets fans were going to "win" this with you. If we couldn't have come to terms with him you would be here talking smack too

Phightins got so happy to beat on the mets they got content and soft. In the end they got one ring and one dynasty slip through there fingers. And the best part is that in a weird wicked way, it's the mets that prevented the dynasty.
