    • Where does Wilmer Flores end up?

If you took the time to read this then you already know that Wilmer Flores is one of our top prospects. With the Wright extension blocking 3B and Ike Davis likely to be on the roster long-term, what does that mean for Flores. I know that there is a contingency on this board that thinks that Flores can stick at 2B long-term, but I have read too many reports by now to believe that he can even be a league average 2B defensively; and if you at recent photos, he looks far too big to be expected to range laterally enough to be useful. That leads me to believe that he is going to go in a deal, but what type of deal are we looking at? We aren't likely to trade him for a player making any money and I can't think of the last time we made a prospect for prospect type deal. Name your targets.

I would like to see him packaged in a deal for a good young OF or catcher...like Upton for example. I just have a feeling that Flores is Fmart part 2 and we should trade him while he does have value....of course if it's the right deal.

He will end up another team turning out to be a good hitting
Clutch hitter while we are stuck with whiffboy.

It'd be great if he could but some of the stuff I read on fangraphs say that he's painfully slow.

Wil Myers is the #3 prospect in baseball!

He Might be freaking the next Trout, it would be an Awesome trade for us.

Why not move Wright to second and put Flores at third?

If you are Sandy you need to take chances on young players since we cannot afford to pay the prices to get "known" players. I guess we can just wait a few years for our farm system to bring up all these studs we have in the minors, oh wait, we don't have those guys either...

100% KC would have to give us another player maybe a good 2B or C (not great but good)

Might is the keyword.

Like Niese Might be progressing into a solid pitcher.

or

Flores Might find a position, or might hit well enough to be a major leaguer

What I do know is that Wil Myers is more proven and has more Potential than flores and has a position.

Niese is expendable.

"who is just gonna get better "

How do you know that? He may have peaked.

Wil Myers is more valuable to the Mets, he's a prospect which means he could amount to nothing BUT he had one of the greatest Minor league seasons last year and is #3 prospect in baseball.

If he turns out to be a solid major league OF, Mets win.

Expendable ---- Now Flores or even Ike Davis could be expendable reason is both are now heading to play 1B

Guys like Lutz and Campbell are really expendable (but have no value) Marte and Ad Rodriguez could be moved as well

BUT Niese is not expendable --- young lefty under contract for many years WITH very little of Lefty Arms in the system ------- Is he able to be traded? Yes but not easy to replace that level of a lefty SP

I was hoping in the future Niese to be the #3 after Harvey and Wheeler and then have Fulmer (but I feel Fulmer may be traded once he moves up the system)
