That's possible. Maybe a Craig Biggio type of situation. It depends on if the Mets are willing to stick with shoddy defense at 3rd and poorer hitting at age 38 and 39 on top of the poorer seasons at 36 and 37. You'd have to take a production cut for four years probably.

If they're willing to do that then I think that's possible.

If it were me I'd put him out there until he decides to quit. But if he's hitting .240 at age 39, and in NY, there's going to be a ton of pressure to replace him.
