Gas your car up Wally and point it south. This team has quit on Collins and even Dandy Sandy knows this group needs a sheriff not a grandpa.

Terry has fire for about 50 games and then the teams stops listening. Wish we had Davey again.

Why Terry got the job....

Koufax is his friend.

And wilponzi worships Koufax, a fellow madoff investor.

InTerry's defense he has been given absolutely nothing to work with.
If Wright Dickey or Johan don't produce its an automatic loss.

And Johan hasnt produced in 2 months

So that when we field a talentless team next year people can blame our new manager? at some poibt you need to realize there just isnt very much talent on this team.

Thank you, sir voice of reason.

Remember how stoked everyone was when Collins was hired? He's firey, he won't take anybody playing less than 100%, etc. ESPECIALLY after an ineffectual Jerry Manual and his annoying, "Aw shux, whatcha gonna do? Think I'll go back to my whittling now" approach. Two polar opposites. Two vastly different managing styles and personalities. SAME results. What does that tell you?

I'm not saying Collins is great, but you rarely get blood from a stone in baseball, let alone a winning season from a collection of low budget bottom feeders. Ownership gave him little to work with, then they told him he wouldn't get any help by trade deadline either. then he's got to go in front of the cameras day after day and talk about why his team can't win. It's got to get tiring after a while, especially when he's being asked (in so many words) to work with what he has 'cause he ain't getting anything better.

I don't know what people expect switching managers is going to accomplish. I don't think Collins is a HOF manager by any means. He's very possibly not the one to take them into the promised land. But having Wally next season, or Bobby Valentine (remember all those posts? LOL), isn't going to change the results a whole lot if at all. The bullpen is horrific. We have no outfield, offensively speaking. Starting pitching has become questionable. There's only so much mixing and matching and number of pep rallies a manager can muster up before cruel reality sets in. The team just isn't good. And as a Wally fan, I don't want him installed as manager until the team IS good. Otherwise, he'll be blamed and fired before long too. IF the team was good but just wasn't responding to Collins' approach, I'd be all for letting him go. But that isn't the case by a long shot.

Wally's Binghamton team was 9 games under .500 last year.

This year's Buffalo team is around 5 games under .500.

I just love when Wally fires up a team.

I have little doubt this Mets team would be in the playoffs this year if Wally was managing (sarcasm).

This year's Buffalo team is around 5 games under .500.

--> Do you think that could be because half his team was called up to the Mets?
