I never wanted Ike traded. I did suggest he should be sent down. Unlike some, I take my medicine when I'm wrong. It appears the long layoff really affected him and he's gotten his groove back. Also, to be as productive as he has considering his struggles is amazing

Guess what, they are expecting a heavy drought this year in the U.S. So I guess we will be seeing a lot of mirages coming from Ike for the rest of the season.

I suggested sending him down too, and I still don't think I/we were wrong in that.

The question with Ike was never IF he was gonna break out of the slump, it was 'how many games will he cost the big league club while we wait?'.

I too was saying send him down...he was looking foolish for awhile and I did not want him to get eaten alive by the media and fans like Bay gets. I liked Ike and wanted him out of the limelight. I guess he was stronger and took his beaten like a man. He and his teammates supported each other through it all.

i wanted to send him down to find his swing. props to TC and alderson for riding this out with ike, and props to ike for hanging in there.
