As a fan this is tiresome this is getting way out of hand I can imagine how the players are feeling someone needs to call out Bell and Ozzie in that club for making the same decisions over and over again the starting pitchers after great starts but unable to get the (w) because of Bell and Ozzie.....Whats wrong in here ....Is Ozzie has become a yes man in Miami a yes man to Loria that no matter what Bell does Ozzie keep puting him in.......Unless this team doesnt realize the problem that they have they are going to finish last........and that problem is Bell and Ozzie and Loria and i think that the players on the field the next time they see Bell walking out on the 9th the whole team should walk out of the field ......letting Ozzie know that they dont like his decision........

I always hear this sorry excuse...."we paid x million so he has to play!"

That makes NO sense at all since you are adding INSULT to INJURY.....

You put the loser in and you lose just because hes got your money rather than sit his sorry a. s. s. down and try someone who can succeed......so now you wasted the money AND you lose the games too...............BRILLIANT!

If I were the owner/GM I certainly wouldnt be doing THAT.....especially when its going to impact attendance....fans dont care how much you spent (especially on a loser) they acre about wins.

Wow paulyrulo, you live in Orlando by chance? Unfortunately, in MLB there is such a thing as guranteed contracts. In your world, we would just fire Heath Bell, right? Problem is, you still have to pay him. That is why it is so refreshing to have guys like Stanton and LoMo, who perform and make very little money as far as professional sports go. That is why guys like Gaby can be sent down so many times, in hopes he will learn and come back and perform.

Heath Bell is a whole 'nother circumstance. If Samson and Loria just fired him, they would be paying his salary long after he is gone, which is just not good business. Here's an idea, look at what we pay Carlos Lee and what the Astros still have to pay him until his contract expires, and maybe you will understand the point I tried to make. I don't like it either, but that is what MLB and the CBA have done to the sport...
