He needs to go. I remember when I said this 2 years ago and i got flamed for it. Here it is 2 years later and still no progress. He has assembled a collection of cr** with no end in site.

Do you really believe that will foster a winning team? Why do you think Pinella, Gillick, and others have left Seattle? Think about it for a while. Sure let's fire The GM again, manager etc... Guess what? Harmstring, Lincomb would just hire a new GM that they like and they would sell of the farm and start over again. Seattle will never...ever win any kind of championship as long as those losers hold on to the team.

You're expecting not to get flamed this time? Boy you're naive.

I think it is time for action and not just more words. All season it has been "be patient" "They are making good outs" etc etc. It is now time to fish or cut bait. It is time to drop Figgins, Ryan, Olivo, League, and yes Ichiro. They do not figure into next year so why keep playing them. They are obviously not good roll models for the young players. Come on "Z" and Wedge no more talk. The fans want action NOW!!

I don't believe Ichiro will be going any place. He brings in too much money.

Ryan is still a league average short stop, despite his offensive struggles. And he's insanely cheap. No reason to drop him until we have someone better.

Figgy, Olivo, and Ichiro... I'm okay with moving on from them. Or at least in Ichiros case a diminished role. League's fine, just some reliever. NBD.

> The fans want action NOW!!

We all do. But we can be realistic about that actually happening.

"I think it is time for action and not just more words. All season it has been "be patient""

I'm going to keep asking this until someone responds: what are your options?

""They are making good outs""

Nobody has said this.

"It is time to drop Figgins,"

Okay.

"Ryan,"

Not until one of Triunfel or Franklin is ready to take over.

"Olivo,"

Probably trade bait anyway.

"League,"

Again, trade bait.

"and yes Ichiro."

No point. Ichiro is a free agent at the end of this season and has 10-5 rights anyway.

"They do not figure into next year so why keep playing them."

Someone has to play backup utility guy, short stop, catcher, relief, and right field. Of those, you can probably get away with replacing them all with in-house options except for Ryan at the moment. Nick Franklin will be ready soonish, but not that soonish. Kawasaki isn't an everyday short stop either.

"They are obviously not good roll models for the young players."

How do you figure this?

"Come on "Z" and Wedge no more talk. The fans want action NOW!!"

Your call for action is to get rid of players and that's it? Okay. Not sure removing 5 guys from our 25 man roster and running with only 20 players is a good idea, but I'm game for trying new stuff.
