"I think it is time for action and not just more words. All season it has been "be patient""
I'm going to keep asking this until someone responds: what are your options?
""They are making good outs""
Nobody has said this.
"It is time to drop Figgins,"
Okay.
"Ryan,"
Not until one of Triunfel or Franklin is ready to take over.
"Olivo,"
Probably trade bait anyway.
"League,"
Again, trade bait.
"and yes Ichiro."
No point. Ichiro is a free agent at the end of this season and has 10-5 rights anyway.
"They do not figure into next year so why keep playing them."
Someone has to play backup utility guy, short stop, catcher, relief, and right field. Of those, you can probably get away with replacing them all with in-house options except for Ryan at the moment. Nick Franklin will be ready soonish, but not that soonish. Kawasaki isn't an everyday short stop either.
"They are obviously not good roll models for the young players."
How do you figure this?
"Come on "Z" and Wedge no more talk. The fans want action NOW!!"
Your call for action is to get rid of players and that's it? Okay. Not sure removing 5 guys from our 25 man roster and running with only 20 players is a good idea, but I'm game for trying new stuff.
