If the starting pitching can't carry this team then they are in a lot of trouble because the offense certainly can't.
Lowe pitches to contact but everything he threw was up last night. Pitching is a lot like real estate ........ location, location, location. He doesn't have the kind of stuff to blow it by anybody so he uses his sinker to get groundballs but when his pitches are up he gets bombed.
The bad thing is that most of our pitchers aren't doing all that well except for Zach McAllister. McAllister has really pitched well for the Tribe. It's hard to believe that he came from the Yankees for Austin Kearns. That is one deal at the trading deadline that has worked out for the Tribe.
This homestand is going to tell us a lot about the team and if the first game tells us anything the Tribe is in trouble. That's too bad because the Detroit Tigers are beginning to put it together and are on a role. The pitching staff has to carry the Tribe and if the staff can't then 3rd place could be where they finish.
