GAME #77: (38-38) Cleveland Indians at (42-34) Baltimore Orioles
MATCHUP: Josh Tomlin (3-5, 5.70) at Dana Eveland (0-0, 3.00)
DATE/TIME: Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 4:15 PM ET
LOCATION: Oriole Park at Camden Yards – Baltimore, Maryland
WEATHER: Overcast, 91 degrees, Wind Out to RF at 5 MPH.

FINAL SCORE: Indians 11, Orioles 5
WINNING PITCHER: Josh Tomlin (4-5)
LOSING PITCHER: Dana Eveland (0-1)

BASEBALLS TO:

** Shin Soo Choo: Tied a career high with 4 runs scored as he went 4 for 5, being on base 5 times via a walk as well. One of the hits was an opposite field solo homer. He had 3 RBIs in the game. Choo has been red hot in this series.
** Lou Marson: Missed the cycle by not hitting a homer – but went 4 for 5 with a pair of singles, a double, a triple, 3 runs scored, walked in the 8th – just a great day for Lou. He’s raised his season average to .284.
** Jose Lopez: 5 for 6 today – all singles – with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Lopez raised his average to .257.
** Asdrubal Cabrera: 3 for 5 including a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.
** Indians Offense Overall: Combined, the Tribe swung the sticks and had 19 hits and put 11 runs on the board. I hope the offense can keep this going as they come back home for the final week before the All-Star Game.
** Josh Tomlin: Wasn’t pretty and I wasn’t exactly pleased today – but he did enough to work 6 innings and earn the victory to improve to 4-5 on the season. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits while walking 3 and striking out 4.
** Chris Davis: 2 for 4 with a 3-run homer in the game.

GOOFBALLS TO:

** Dana Eveland: Today’s southpaw starter didn’t fare well. He worked out of trouble early but threw a lot of pitches and it eventually caught up with him. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits over 3 2/3 innings. Eveland suffers the loss and falls to 0-1 on the season.
** Tommy Hunter: Came out of the bullpen and threw gasoline on the fire. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in just 1 2/3 innings of relief.
** Orioles Defense: Charged with 2 more errors today – JJ Hardy picked up his third and Adam Jones picked up his seventh, and there could have been more.
** Aaron Cunningham: Looked awful at the plate today after getting a start in left field. He went 0 for 6 in the ninth spot, leaving 7 on base.
