Nady? When he was 21-26 he wasn't Bochy's kind of guy. It's ok because he was dealt for a 35 y/o CF when Bochy was in SD.
Now that Nady is a injury-ridden 33 y/o jouneyman utility player? Well now he's "worth a look".
"Can't be any worse than Belt."
Yes. Yes, he can...
It's like clockwork.
Somebody mentions the name "Belt," and you come barging in, cape and all.
No...you don't defend Belt. Lol!
Just admit it, man.
The truth shall set you free.
There's always decent middle relievers to be found on waivers.
Casilla, Affeldt, or Romo will have to close, but we can get help.
Actually he's right, people can definitely be worse then Belt. The problem is too many people expect him to come out and hit 5-5 with 6 homers and 22 RBI's a game. They totally ignore the few times when he does well and 100% lock in on every failure.
Melky fails 65% of the time, Buster fails 68% of the time, the average baseball player fails 75% of the time, but even when Belt goes 1-4 he's trashed by many "fans".
Give the guy a break and learn to play the game and stop riding him like he's a flippin hall of famer.
Actually, I didn't say he wasn't right. My post refers to something you know nothing about.
I agree with your assessment of Belt, and I'm not a "rider" of him.
Xavier Nady has been over-rated his entire career. He was really good ONCE. Pretty meh the rest of his career.
