The victory in Colorado today was gigantic, because the Giants will be lucky to win one game in St. Louis. They better hope the Dodgers go on a losing streak at the same time. Tim Lincecum was good today but not great. If he had been pitching against the Cardinals he would have lost. Giving up five walks in six innings is unacceptable, He threw over a 100 pitches in this start. He was fortunate to win. The defense helped him today.

Matt Cain will pitch the opening game in St. Louis, but I expect him to not last six innings. He has not been the same since the perfect game, and he will probably end up with about 15 wins this year. The Giants need to rest the bull pen, but it will not happen tomorrow. Can Hunter Pence continue to hit consistently? When will Posey go cold? If he does Cabrera and Pence will need to stay hot. Keep Sandoval on the bench and deal him next year. He is injury prone and will never be able to help the Giants.

Giants are comming off of a sweep...now this is big,after the debacle at home...I dont expect them to let up..but I sure hope the bull pen get their act together....they cannot be letting games get away...thats the team's biggest problem right now...the bull pen..

I agree that we should sell high on Sandoval if possible..since he is an all star, we should be getting someone legit back. Maybe try to get a Starlin Castro from the Cubs..The guy is injury prone and we did win a world series with him on the bench mostly.

A healthy Sandoval can do wonderful things for a team, but A Sandoval sitting on the bench can do nothing. He needs to be dealt for a dominate closer.

I think the other option is to get him back to an ideal playing weight again and let him hit the sh1t out of the ball. I won't give up on him unless you could find a young solid player. Remember Pablo is still very young and his contract is considered cheap. He MUST be in shape. No more excuses! Stop eating them buffets!
