I think Kemp is putting pressure on himself since Melkys suspension. No hits and an ejection. Just a feeling.

And what does Melkey have to do with Kemp's struggles? that post didn't make sense.

Again i'm not a Kemp hater he is my favorite player but I honestly beleive that too he sure isn't doing much that matters since Hanley got here and he better put that a side cause this is the best Dodger team we have had in years even when we Had Manny.

He doesn't want to share the spotlight? The same guy who was lobbying to keep Ethier here, and was happy as everybody else when Hanley came over is now egotistical because he's stop hitting for a week?

It's clear to see that Matt is trying to get back to where he was before he got hurt and is pressing even more because the dodgers are in a pennant race. This is Matt's team, Don has even stated that Kemp has the most pull out of any player in the club house so Matt has nothing to worry about. The guys just trying to do well and help his team.

I don't think it's a coincidence the minute Hanley gets here, Kemp starts going into the tank. But every ball player slumps at some point and Kemp was out for 50 games so this unfortunately is time for Matty to slump. He has to snap out of it though and soon.

tell him it is 2012 not 2010 when the pitcher get 2 hits and everyone else looks like they need new contacts

What an absurd post. Before Kemp's 0-21 slide, he was hitting over .400 for a lengthy stretch...Hanley's been with the Dodgers for 25 games now.

In other words, that theory makes zero sense.

you better go back and do your homework, he was doing fine until 4 days ago, hanley has been here longer than that,

It was his post game quote after the ejection. He said something to the effect that "we are in a race to pull ahead of the Giants and this ump pulls this cr*p". I mean on the face of it it didn't seem like much but it was the day Melky was caught and Kemp was so furious. Granted he had a right to be angry but Kemp has been pretty loose this year even during the dl stints and I got the feeling he was too amped up. Or maybe he feels he's gotta match what Hanley does. I'm sure he knows what he has to do.

Maybe Kemp's on the juice too, and since Melky got busted, Kemp is paranoid as $hit that he's going to be next?

Wow. I'm sure you enough about the game to see he actually is 0 for 18. So yes he is pressing, and yes he hasn't had a hit since Melkys suspension.

If I recall correctly, the first two months of the season; Kemp and Ethier were going back and forth, and htey seemed to feed of the success of one another. There is always a certain amount of "animus" about the new guy, be it HanRam or Victorino. However, I would bet it all on those two guys in particular, that they just want to fit in and contribute to Dodger success. If it were indeed a situation of "ego going before team", on anyone's part, that of course is wrong!

Of course, I have nothing to back that up with; I am but a a troll!
