We wil see Corey, my bet is he stays right there, he has a home there too I believe. Lakers might be able to pay a little more too I think than Dallas. unless the rules changed.

The Lakers exercised their club option on Bynum for 2012-13 this past season. That was the game he got ejected from, remember? So basically he was a one year rental too. They {the Lakers FO} would have been insane to extend him, IMHO. Maybe he matures with a change of scenery. I really don't think he would have done it here though. Happy trails Andrew.

'One source close to Kobe Bryant, meanwhile, told Stein the Lakers' star was estatic Thursday night upon hearing that Los Angeles was able to complete such a significant transaction without surrendering Gasol. Bryant is with Team USA at the London Olympics.'

That's good to hear. The way Kobe was scapegoating his teammates after this past postseason's failures, I thought he wanted Pau gone.

'Sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard that Philadelphia has not spoken to Bynum or his representatives, and has no assurances he will sign a long-term extension with the team.

"The Sixers are willing to take a shot (without Bynum's commitment)," one source said.'

That's what I figured. Let him take up two handicap spots in Philly.

It was nice to see we were on Howard's list of finalists before the trade.

I said after we got the best point guard this side of Magic and Stockton. Howard would be coming to L.A. there was no other alternative that made the most sense. Now, all we have to wait for is the comish David Stern's signature.

Good job Lakeys, let's have another riot, errrr, parade!

It was not known anything. He was more than guaranteed to end up with the Nets and then the Magic seemed to want to bring him back and rekindle the fire and then it was speculated that he wouldn't be here because of the "1 year rental" thing. He will retire a Lakey.

Lakers keep Pau too. A lot of people thought he would have been a chip sent in the trade for Howard. I didn't follow the Lakers much last season. Has Gausol declined?

mostly because bynum was taking his spot in the post. gasol was limited to hanging outside the paint and taking alot of outside jumpers instead of close up. just wasn't able to play his game when bynum was around. best part is that howard isn't a post-up guy. win-win.....
