It really doesn't make sense. Specially, when Rivera isn't doing any better and is a prone to hit into double plays much like Loney.

Ethier FINALLY moved down to 5th. I would love for him to knock a 3-run homer tonight.

My heart sinks seeing Rivera behind Ethier.

Looks like a good line up tonight except for Rivera. Maybe they will DFA both Uribe and Rivera tomorrow. Rivera, no hit & no field. I'm like most here, they call up Sands to sit him on the bench. Doesn't make since, he can do no worse than Rivera. Also its nice to see AJ get a little rest.

Sands started a lot for us last September, and did so well. He hit .342.

My heart also sinks seeing Rivera behind Ethier. I think it might be a long night for Dre. The only way it won't be is if Kemp and Hanley manage to get on base ahead of him. Otherwise, why throw anything but a slider away to him? Maybe he'll get 4 walks. H.e.ck, if it's 1 out, I'd walk Ethier, knowing full well Rivera was going to get doubled up behind him on cue.
