The way he blows games and big leads he should be in the State Pen.

Gagne's problem was he ran out of gas by the fourth inning,so by making him a one inning reliever he didn't have to worry about conserving his strength. He was able to let it all hang out in that one inning. Bills on the other hand seems to get rattled with men on base and it tends to take him an inning or 2 to get into the swing of things. i don't think either one of those is what I want in a reliever.

I posted somewhere that Bills is a super let down. No way to feel comfortable when he starts. This is a pitcher who no one want to trade when he was in AAA. He was projected to become our next ace. It is like he is crusing and then BAM, his body is on the mound and his brain is out there in la la land. Concentration is not part of his make up or a hit or a hit batsman would not rattle him. Gotta thing maybe he has AD and his mind wanders away from pitching to another park where he is is in left field snagging balls.

"I think Chad Billingsley has good stuff but gets rattled I think he would be good coming out of the pen. Any thoughts?"

If he gets rattled then the worst place for him would be in coming into tight late inning situations, sometimes with runners on base.

Regardless though I believe his real value to a club is that he pitches close to 200 innings each year. He's more of a # 3 or # 4 depending upon the strength of a team's rotation. He's not the # 2 guy that many thought, or hoped, he'd be.

I posted on another thread that I believe, like Loney, over the last 2 seasons we've seen the best Billshas and it's just not good enough for a supposed #2 starter. I also believe that he needs a change of scenery and he's the only piece of attractive trade bait we have this year. There will always be contending looking to add a veteran pitcher, especially a still young one. Maybe a package involving him and Loney would bring us a good hitting corner infielder.

Aside from his obvious talent, but diminished by ADD issues, I think he also has the best personal grooming on the team. His image on screen is a nice relief from the scraggly hair and tattoos sported by so many players today.

ROFLMAO!

I really haven't paid any attention to his back side or nether regions.

yea giving the teams resources the team has now bills is the least of our worries. he isn't a top of the rotation guy, but management won't be expecting him to be. they are just going to want him to eat up some innings in the middle of the rotation, and he'll do that at a fairly reasonable price for a big market team.
