Kasten, is a smart guy it's always good to have an assistant.

Colletti is a good safety net not to mention puppet. If Kasten messes up then it'll be Colletti's head on the chopping block.

I think this is a great time to quote the great Tommy Lasorda. "What may be true today, may not be true tomorrow."

At the end of the day i trust Kasten decision regarding Ned. If he thinks Ned should stay well then im going to side with Kasten.

Keeping Ned is keeping a viper, and if true, Kasten is a bozo stupid nitwit.

I think it would depend on who becomes available after the season. If a big name with a great track record is out there, Kasten will have to look at them at the least. Kasten is covering all the bases and I would bet we have a new GM during the off season.

No owner is going to say he is getting rid of his GM, especially this time of year. As I stated in other threads, everybody is auditioning for their jobs right now. New ownership has an idea of who they want to keep and who they don't, but this season will help them make their decisions.

The question is, was the Carlos Lee for Garrett Gould all Kasten or all Colletti? If it were Colletti, he needs to be let go at the season's end. If it's Kasten, he better hire a competent GM so that he doesn't have to think up these ridiculous trades in the near future.
