Enough already of Kennedy and Uribe. It's time for Fields and Sands to play. It cannot be any worse than Uribe and Kennedy. Come on Colletti make a move now.

Labine,
I agree with you that Uribe & Kennedy should be DFA'd. I f management really wants to show their commitment, these guys have got to go (or sit). The last time Sands and SVS and Castillano were called up, they each got about 25 at bats. How can you gauge a player with 25 at bats? It was an effin joke. If you're going to bring them up, let them play, every day, for a month, and get a real read if there's any major league talent there. Otherwise, why bother.

I am all for DFA Uribe & Kennedy. Signing Kennedy was a joke. I say bring Fields up and let him man third for a while and see if he can catch fire. Mean while how about looking into getting Chase Headley from the Padres, good defense, switch hitter though not much power but is young and could hold down the corner for a few years until something else comes along. Just a thought.

I do think it's time to see if anyone in the minors can help us offensively at 1B, 3B, LF. Sands, however, isn't even hitting in the PCL right now, so I'm not convinced bringing him up makes any sense.

I agree they both must go. Think they need to slide Herrera into 3b permanently & put De Jesus at 2b. Stop shuffling everyone around. There's no consistency from this team. Not from the management or the players. See what happens if they can stop wondering if they're name is in the starting lineup.

Ebbets I agree. Fields is only 29 and I know it's 300 at Albuqurkee and wait and see elsewhere. Give the guys a chance. This enemic lineup is going fast. If they don't make a move the Doders will be out of first place by the all-star break.

No on Sands and SVS...neither are even close to being ready. They are worse than Kennedy and Uribe. Fields, sure why not give him a try...and let's see if DeJesus can contribute.

While I can see Kennedy being DFA'd once Ellis comes off the DL, you all have to stop complaining about the Dodgers not dumping Uribe because it isn't going to happen anytime soon. He's due to make around $12M over the next couple of years. If you thought the White Sox got Youkilis for next to nothing, just imagine how much Uribe is going to be worth. They would have to pay for his entire contract plus interest to trade him. Of course, they could just waive him and hope that someone picks up his contract, but the likelihood of that happening is somewhere between slim and none.

if sands isnt ready now he will never be, you can only improve so much in the minors.

at least when he doesn't hit in the Major leagues, he has an excuse! How nice it would be to see him trotted out there to put up the same numbers as Loney, then use Loney when there is a need for a weak fly ball or a GIDP!

Van Slyke, Cruz and anyone but what is trotted out there. Two shutouts and the dodgers look like a last place team right now. The Giants may sweep. They appear to be a better team than the Dodgers. Ned must make a trade or bring someone up.
