If you noticed, when Miggy struck out with ducks on the pond, he returned to the dugout and we heard a very loud "Bonggg" sound. Gracie explained that the guys have been so frustrated that they have been taking it out on the equipment and fixtures in the dugout and clubhouse. I just wanted to share this little anecdote.

Years ago I was in Seattle and, on a day off for the Mariners, I took a tour of the Kingdome. Just outside of the Mariners' locker room was a wall with a huge mirror on it, which almost covered the entire wall. Next to that mirror was a sign that said something to the effect that if anyone breaks this mirror it will cost him one thousand dollars.

cool story about the Kingdome. It's funny to watch Montero taking his monster swings when he very well could be a .325 hitter w/ his smooth swing

Before I got my season tickets at chase this year i got a tour of the ballpark. They took us down into the dugout and in that door there is a tire held in place for players to beat the <shit out of. It's the first thing a player sees when they walk down into that dugout door.

I saw Chris Johnson headed for the tire at once last night. It must have worked, he homered later on.

Does anyone notice that when Miggy is unhappy with a swing, at-bat, what have you, he seems to punch himself in the cup???? Hubby and I noticed it a while back and I swear, he still does it!

One can definitely see when Miggy is guessing and "swinging for the fences" versus just relaxing with an "easier" swing. I am SURE you're right, though, that his favorite swing is the one that involves really connecting with the ball! :)

Watch closer, there is definitely a difference. He does, (very rarely) connect on the "swing for the fences" swing, but when he hits doubles and singles, they are a "softer swing".

Even Miggy admits it.

It is definitely noticeable. The "swing for the fences" swing will show Miggy nearly coming out of his shoes and his balance is off.

Yep. I wonder how he doesn't hurt himself sometimes.

Almost makes me wonder if that is how he has strained his groin in the past.

In case you have not noticed, Willie is not a HR specialist, per se. He is a MUCH different type of hitter. However, I am surprised, with his size and power, that he has not hit any.

parra is not a homerun hitter either but he is a good table setter

We all have our favorite players and not-so-favorite players, but how a professed D-Backs fan can hold so much hate for certain team members just boggles my mind.

Where are you on that, oh hypocritical one?

You vanish like a fart in the wind (or join in) when the mob goes down the street chasing Justin Upton.

So Gerardo is going to continue to hear it as long as Upton does. He is after all, awful and worthless if we hold him to the same standard that Upton is held to.

And when you factor in his below average CF defense and constant mistakes on the basepaths, he really is garbage."

I don't vanish at all. I am fairly neutral on Upton. I am extremely disappointed in his 2012 performance but I don't want him traded, at least not this year. I still feel he will come around sooner or later. Where is it written that I must either love or despise a player like you do? I like all D-Backs players, some more than others.

Parra? I hold his talents in far greater esteem than you do, though like many here, I am disgusted with his recent over-exuberance which has caused costly mistakes. Unlike you, I don't hate the guy. You claim to not have questioned his character or integrity. That may be so, but never let it be said that you don't hate him as a player.

So, oh hypocritical one, I gather your excuse is that because so many here are anti-Upton and you are a super Upton fan, you take that personally and are compelled to fight back by grinding Parra into the ground at every opportunity. How sad!
