This will undoubtedly be my final response to your drivel, but really -- get a life.

What did you think OVERBAY WAS UNTOUCHABLE?

Jack Magruder?@JackMagruder

#Dbacks Overbay emotional on departure. Loved playing with this group. Said Dbacks' best baseball yet to come. Would help any clubhouse.

To answer Overbay questions: #Dbacks have 10 days to trade or release him, or put him on waivers. Extremely unlikely he ends up with Aces.

This is not surprising actually but what is surprising is on the way home the sports show I listen to down here had reported that Stephen Drew was pulled into Gibby's office for a closed door meeting so it makes you wonder if he will be in the lineup tonight or not.

I saw some twitter posts saying that the Dbacks were in talks w/the Reds about Overbay. Probably just mindless drivel like most rumors but, with Votto being injured, I guess it's a possibility.

Well that is good I guess I would rather see him leave at the end of the season than be traded away now unless the snakes were getting a premier pitcher for him and no some prospects that may or may not make it to the majors (Even thought I don't want to see him leave as he has a great glove)

Listen, I don't like for your behavior in the message boards. It's very rude to him. You better say sorry to everyone onto D-Backs message boards. You have to accepted apologize to Lyle Overbay.

Dude be nice. He helped Goldy. However he has no power and was a joke to be around this long. He was lucky all the other players were hurt or he would have been released or traded sooner

I disagree with you on this one. Overbay was very good for the team. In a backup and teaching role he:

*Helped develop and coach Goldschmidt (in Goldschmidt's own words).

*Batted .292 - 7th on the team and ahead of Montero, Kubel, Parra, Upton, Young, and others.

*OPS was .815 - 8th on the team and ahead of Parra, Upton, Young, and less than .80 points behind the stud hitters this year Kubel, Goldschmidt, Montero, and Hill. No power??

*Slugging Pct. .448 and 9th on the team.

*Salary a "paltry" $1.0M - 16th on the team out of 22 listed. (a bargain in todays numbers).

*Clubhouse - A definite positive, well liked player.

*In big games and key situations he steps things up and delivers a high % of the time.

Also you'll notice that Overbay is the only 1st baseman listed on the roster other than Goldschmidt. So who would be the backup if god forbid PG goes down?

Ya, let's judge him after 17 AB in his ML career.

Our bench went from decent to just poor. We have NO ONE. Almost literally. Blanco, Mcdonald and Wheeler, Parra is a joke as our ONLY bench options.

I know some might disagree with this but I was kinda hoping they might resign Nady as back up 1st baseman and OF.

It would have added a familiar face, someone who knows how we work and was a part of our success last year. Oh and most importantly a veteran off the bench who isn't a bad PH.

Probably poison around here, but what about Mike Jacobs? Maybe the Dbacks want a power lefty bat off the bench. His career stats aren't horrific including an infamous series down there in 2005.
