I started to fall asleep in the middle of watching the game these last 2 nights and I completely blame schulte for it(Even though the poor offense was to blame too). I never fell asleep when sutton was the one calling the game unless I didn't get any sleep the night before and it was a sunday afternoon game. Now im doing it when I do get good sleep. Schulte is literally putting me to sleep!

I've actually used the mute button on my remote when the game is on the past two nights. I'm also doing a lot of channel surfing during the games so I don't even see all of the action or any of the commercials.

Ticket prices are indeed going UP - and in the middle of this Obamaconomy, yet. It is a BADDD idea IMO - and I told them so. They are banking on this president not being reelected and this dreadful economy turning around, my rep said. If he is reelected, expect anywhere from a 10 to 25 percent drop in the STH base, including my own four. It will be a ticket buyer's market.

I know how you feel. I got bored of the game when we scored 13 runs off the Astros the other day. How can scoring all those runs turn out to be a boring game? Oh yeah...

So now we are going to start lacing politics into our baseball threads?

Why not gun control or religion?

Yeah, I don't care for mixing those two either, but it seems politics has a way of making into everything nowadays. Can't we just go a day without it being shoved down our throats? Sheesh...I just want some DBACKS WINS!! :)

I didn't even bother watching todays game until the 9th inning started and was only doing check ups of the score online. Im tired of listening to Schulte there was no way I was going to risk falling asleep to his babbling for a 3rd straight night.

If I may make a suggestion about the broadcasts??? I know I have made my fair share of grumpy posts and gripes, but I say we put this dead horse to rest already...listen to it on the radio then! :)

I second the motion. For those of you who can't stand Schulte, deal with it, just as I dealt with the years of Daron Sutton whose style I did not care for and frequently found annoying. I don't know how many times I can reiterate that we will all have someone new to like or dislike next season. We only have a couple more months to cope with the current situation.

If there is anything worse for me its listening on the radio. I could only do that if I was on the road at the time or if I was forced to go radio because of no TV.

Oddly enough I had a dream last night that Daron was back in the booth calling games again... I almost want to hope that is a sign that this is coming to an end very soon as it seems like some of my realistic sounding dreams wind up foreshadowing the future. I remember a few years ago when the cardinals were making a super bowl run that I was having dreams foreshadowing a great run coming soon before the playoffs even started. Thats just one example though. I have had more that were not sports related but my dreams like this have an odd way of showing them selves in the real world.

Sut & Grace have chemistry and were VERY interesting to watch. I love Schulte on the RADIO - and occasionally on the TV. Please... drop all this petty ego garbage and bring back Sutton.

I agree. Last nights game should have been a lot more fun to watch and listen to, but it just wasn't. Everybody just seemed bored with the whole thing. I think the Dbacks bosses didn't realize how much Daron could liven things up. Seems like no one (including me) has laughed in 5 weeks. Whoever's in charge of this situation needs to see the error of their ways!

You miss the point, YBC-completely! I have no objection to a dozen people posting twice daily each that they miss Sutton and want him back, or that they can't stand Schulte. That's their prerogative, just as it was mine to gripe about Sutton's style on more than one occasion (or yours to bash "Fat Joe" ad nauseum). By the way, I believe I only started three threads on that topic, all before the suspension, if you want to term that "multiple" threads. I did participate in two or three threads initiated by others, as any number of other posters did.

My point, the one you keep missing, is that it's not fair to resent Schulte, as though he stole the job from Sutton. That idea has been implied between the lines numerous times, if not by you, then by many others.

Who am I to tell people what they can post and what they can't? What I HAVE done is to try to steer people away from believing that there is some sort of contest between the entertainment value of Schulte vs. that of Sutton when he was here. I was trying to make the point that, in my opinion (to which I am entitled) Schulte is an innocent victim in this affair, which many do not seem to view that way. That's far different than attempting to stifle posts on the subject, as you are expressly accusing me.

There are way to many seats in this stadium. I would rather they decrease the seats then see a half empty stadium. This stadium should have been built with a capacity of 40,000. Having the ownership with the City of Phoenix will bring more revenue to the City of Phoenix.

For the life of me, I can't believe everyone is complaining about the ticket prices. Like I have said, in 1998 I paid $12.50 for my seats and they are now $18.00. That is a $5.50 increase in 15 seasons. Pretty cheap, don't you think.

By that logic you must also like to put your wanger in the hands of a child so as to make it look bigger than it is.

Here's my l'affaire Sutton update, first in a while:

1. The "we are owed an explanation!!" rants have died down and/or disappeared. For anyone still making such a demand, it's a personnel matter and you won't receive your right to an explanation unless some idiot in the D'Backs HR department screws up royally, after which that person will be summarily <shit canned.

2. The "we want Sutton back!" rants still seem to come from time to time. He's not coming back. To the extent it's not already done, attorneys for both sides are negotiating the terms of Sutton's unofficial or official departure. Hopefully Kendrick and Co. are searching for Sutton's replacement, zero chance I can take anything near to the amount of Schulte speak I've encountered this year again. For my 2012 endurance test I was trying to decide between climbing Mount Everest and listening to Schulte all year, I was looking for the bigger challenge so I went with the latter.
