The NRA and gun making industry has Americans so scared of the govt and lefties taking their guns away from them that they are allowed carte blache to sell assault rifles and thousands of rounds of ammo to anyone and then they laugh all the way to the bank. They are making billions selling guns and scaring gun owners that Uncle Sam is going to disarm them. If people were smarter owning a gun would require a license like a motor vehicle requires, but all bets are off on that ever happening here. America is the most armed nation on Earth and crime is much higher than in nations with stricter gun control laws. Every gun owned is a gun sold by the makers of death

"The NRA and gun making industry"

That's redundant...

Funny, I own guns... shoot them often, in fact... and I have no problem with a bit more gun control , and i guarantee you I will be able to own my guns until the day I die.

So, what's my problem? Am I not paranoid enough?

watch out or the big bad govt will take away your right to own tactical nukes or to keep a flame thrower in the back seat of your car...

the truth is that the gun lobby OWNS the govt and even supposed lefty politicians are afraid to support sensible gun control. But the corporate funded focus group studies show that if you scare people the govt is in the problem you can sell them anything from regulation free pollution to regulation free banks to regulation free guns.

reality check: the fox IS in charge of the henhouse and has convinced the right wing hens that it is good for them.

stop making sense. politicians have divided us and want us divided so they can run again and again on the same divisive issues while they achieve their real agenda of self-enrichment and enrichment of their corporate funders at the expense of average taxpayers

Do you think making cars more difficult to own, cutting the
horse power, will cut down on the DUI's or the drive by shootings?

When will you learn that you cannot legislate morality....do drug laws
stop drugs? You can have all the gun laws, take away all the guns, and
the "bad" guys will still have guns......so you register them, in this case
we know who the shooter was, the dead guy......in the case in Colo. it
would not have helped any......

all you have to do is take away guns and then criminals would never get guns. That's the mentality of the anti-choice crowd.

on avg, 41,000 people die every year in auto accidents. Time to get rid of cars.

Please stop comparing cars to guns. At least with cars, you have to take a written test, and eye exam and get a picture license to drive legally. To get a high powered assault rifle and thousands of rounds of ammo, all I need is money.
