all three have solid upside. Brighman pitched in AA Texas league (AA is where the talent is, and i hear the TX league is a hitters league) Vizcaino has MLB experience but had TJ in march. He was 20 when he was in the big leagues. Chapman is in AAA and has a 3.25 era in 2 seasons there. All three are solid, i like vizcaino the most.

Stats only tell us so much...unless anyone here is a scout, it is mostly speculation...i think the odds are decent 2 of the 3 can be solid.

Vizcaino is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on.

Well scouts love Viscaino, this guy was an untouchable for them before the TJ.
It's a gamble, but we gave up a 4th OF and a #4-5 starter that was pitching like a #3 this year who half this board ripped on the Cubs for signing.
Now the same clowns will rip on the Cubs for trading........too funny .

Maholm was attractive because he was signed through next year, right? Probably the best starter for the money in the NL this year.

I'll let you know in about three years how I feel about these trades. Right now Theo is doing what he needs to do to rebuild from the bottom up. He is moving practically every tradeable asset for something.

We will win some and lose some with these trades. Malholm, reed and soto were good players on playoff contending teams which we are not. What we got we wont know for a few years at best.

It's a good deal for both teams. Undoubtedly the Braves will pick up that option if Maholm is healthy and pitching just okay at the end of the year. The Cubs get another piece to hopefully put into the rotation down the road someday.
