LaRussa just keeps on winning. His only regret may be not bringing along Ryan Theriot as a manager's pick.

"His only regret may be not bringing along Ryan Theriot as a manager's pick. "

Why, did one of the bat boys not show up?

I personally think he should have chosen a Marlin player instead of Harper since I thought every team was suppose to have a representative on the all star team.

Yes, he did such a great job on managing, without him I am
sure they would not have won.....GIVE ME A BREAK....When a
manager turns his back on drugs, and than has to hire his ex-drugger
to be his hitting coach to keep him from writing a book, he belongs with
all the other drug and drunks.......

He hired Mac to keep him from writing a book?

If he was going to write a book, he wouldn't probably say anything to harm LaRussa regarding PED's because if you remember Mac was still in denial that steroids actually enhanced his numbers.

I'm sure Oakland wasn't the only franchise that the manager and front office knew and looked away and did nothing about the use of steroids. They had become an accepted new way of training just like many other suppliments throughout the years because Selig was doing NOTHING about policing the usage of them and probably still wouldn't have if congress didn't step in because the HUGE offensive numbers were bringing fans to the ballparks and thats all the commish really cares about.

If he said that Tony knew of all that the players were
taking, it would be the first time that the manager was
made a part, would be huge, and Yes, he was still saying
he was "snow White" but if think that the only reason Tony
hired him was because he was such a great hitting coach,
I got a bridge I would like to sell you....

I'm sure Oakland wasn't the only franchise that the manager and front office knew
Does that make it right? This is a whole new can of worms that has never came
out.....what did Baker know about Bonds, What did Tony know?

My point is all of them new, everybody knew probably all the way up to every owner and you know Selig even knew........they didn't care.
Who would be concerned with their player putting up unheard of numbers ........my guess ......NOBODY !

Is it a fact he was going to write a book?

I didn't hear anything about that, he was a low key guy that avoided the spotlight so it's a little surprising if that was true.
