Theo prefers selectively aggressive hitters like Stewart.

Man, they are trashing Theo up and down on the RedSox pre-game show. Because of Lackey and Crawford, they can't make any trades they need to be more competitive. They say Ellsbury is good as gone because they can't afford him.

Shipped up and down? He was only optioned in one year after he made the jump to the ML team. During a time when he was horrible at the plate. Yet somehow that was "shipping him up and down"?

He's not really doing anything other than waiting to see if his prospects pan out. He's not doing anything different than what Friedman or Billy Beane would have done, but he seems to have some halo above his head before he's done anything.

Doesn't matter. Theo walked away with two rings and perennial playoff appearances.

The goal is to win. That's it.

Hendry walked away with nothing and sunk the franchise.

I'll take payroll inflexibility and perennial post seasons with two rings ANYDAY.

Context, dude. Learn it.

Well hes hit 2 good ones on the head Rizzo and Wood.Even though its early I can see Rizzo being a superstar and lets not forget its who you draft and then the trades he makes coming up here are gonna be crucial to the plan

It's okay to lose one of your best young players because you won a WS 8 years ago ?

Sorry, you provided no context.

Theo had no choice with some of those signings. You HAVE to keep up with the Yankees. Theo doesn't sign those guys he gets ripped for not giving the red sox help. He makes the signings and gets ripped later for them not panning out when they were the best available FA. GMs cant win.
