I love players who were so good they could have gone either route when they were developed as a hitter or pitcher.

Greinke was apparently a really good SS in high school, and OF Anthony Gose of the Blue Jays was hitting 98 mph with his fastball before he was drafted..

Fiers is just fine. Glad to see him pitch well in 2012 and look forward to seeing him in 2013. He slots nicely into the Brewers rotation.

I have realistic expectations for Fiers. He's probably a 10-12 game winner that should give you plenty of quality starts. He'll be the Brewers property at a low cost for the next few seasons.
