That would by far be my least desirable destination for him...

Lol, Brewers would never trade him there, he would have to go there as a free agent. He would have to play with phony Chris Carpenter though.

Carp's done for the year.

These "articles" are misleading. The Rangers or Braves should be where Milwaukee should move him.

I would puke if that happened. That being said they have some nice prospects, and I would rather trade him in the NLC for talent, then to trade him to an AL team for trash. If I'm the Brewers Shelby Miller is must, and that's just to start talks. Being in the NLC means that it's going to cost the Cardinals more than if they were an AL opponent. Also trading for Greinke so they can sign him before he can test free agency would be a smart move on their part. If they are willing to give him a Matt Cain like then they deserve him over us, if we are going to be cheap about it.

Yea, well I'm talking about next year if he signs long term. I don't really take a bleacher report article seriously. There could be something to the rumors from Heyman and Rosenthal though but at the same time their sources are wrong a lot.

Who would you rather have? Hamels or Greinke?

I don't see St. Louis giving that kind of money to a pitcher

Rosenthal wears bow ties. Never trust a man in a bow tie.

I would rather have Greinke. I think that after the whole run in with Harper, Hamels would be more appealing to the Cardinals.

The Cardinals have Berkman and Westbrook coming off the books plus Carpenter should he decide to retire.

I would trade him gladly to the Cards if they paid the advanced rate. They have some good young players, and it would take a couple of them to get them done.

St. Louis wont pay the price. Atlanta and Texas will get a "discount" because they're out of the division/league.

Maybe if we could get that Oscar Tavares guy you were talking about and some other of their good young prospects. The nice thing about trading in the division would be getting more in return. Plus I'm not sure they'll win the division even with Greinke.

theres no way the cardinals will pay an advance rate to a division rival or trade with one in my mind unless its the houston astros, i doubt the brewers would want to help the cardinals either

the brewers will trade greinke out of division and id think cardinals are more likely to get wandy rodriguez from the astros if they trade for any starting pitchers

Agree. You can't forget, as much as you Brewers fans don't want to see Grienke beating you, the Cards don't want to see their young studs beating them for the next 10+ years.
