The GT Ace is going to keep it rolling today... Yeah, that's me, and I'll keep that title until the Brewers lose when I start the GT - which could very well be today. But anyway. Here's the Crew's lineup.

RF Norichika Aoki
CF Nyjer Morgan
LF Ryan Braun
3B Aramis Ramirez
DH George Kottaras
2B Rickie Weeks
1B Taylor Green
SS Cody Ransom
C Martin Maldonado

RHP Mike Fiers

Pathetic, I know, but no more so than the Twinkies, who only have "Well Played, Mauer," the double grand slam king, and Tyler Plouffe, whose name sounds like something women use to apply powder to themselves.

Go Brewers!

Whats the lowest batting average ever in a season for a position player?
And what are they for each position that played for most of the season?

Minimum 300 at bats (since 1900)
C 1909 Bill Bergen .139
1B 1968 George Scott .171
2B 1918 Mickey Doolan .179
SS 1906 George McBride .169
3B 1974 Dave Roberts .167
LF 1905 Ducky Holmes .201
CF 1989 John Shelby .183
RF 1991 Rob Deer .178
DH 1974 Deron Johnson .171

For pitchers the worst was Bob Buhl who went 0 for 70 in 1962.
For pitchers with at least one hit...Doug Davis went 1 for 64, a .0156 average in 2004.

==================================

Weeks is currently batting .162 and is .015 points "ahead" of his closest competition...Carlos Pena of the Rays.

If Weeks gets 400 more at bats this year and hits .300 during the rest of the season...he'll finish at .251

It's nice to have a leadoff hit, just too bad with the automatic out batting 2nd.

If Morgan's going to hit second, they should have him bunt every time the lead off guy gets on ahead of him. He beats a fair share of them out and has just as much chance of reaching base that way than any other.

2 on one out and it slowly fizzels to nothing

It feels like Spring Training. Both starting pitchers wearing numbers in the 60's.

Wow Kottaras seriously s..ucks in hitting right now. Nyjer hitting 8th is much better than hitting before Braun. At least he didn't hit into a double play this time

I mean normally I'd be against bunting with any position player unless it's late in a game and you really need that one run. But if you're going to have Morgan batting 2nd it's an out either way.

nah Kottaras gets on base, at a higher clip than really anyone on the team

Him and Gomez. Gomez isn't so much of an automatic out, but with his speed bunting is a legit weapon - same with Morgan, although he's not nearly as fast as Gomez

I almost wish when Estrada comes back that they'd keep Fiers up and trade Wolf for a case of <asswipe somewhere. Then they could make GK9 their first baseman, keep Maldo up and just cut Ishikawa.

Brewers get the call.

GOOD!

I like when we get the calls our way...and I cry when the calls go against us.

Why cut Ishy? Ishy did a fine job at the plate while healthy, if you're gonna cut someone how about the guy who's 3/39 on the year

Rickie with a hit!
