I saw this is one of the last two game threads while I was skimming through:

"Where is Tony Gwynn Jr these days?"

I HAD to look it up cuz it got me wondering too! And here's what I found:

"Gwynn agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers on December 8, 2010. He played in 136 games with the Dodgers in 2011, the highest total of his career, and hit .256 with 22 stolen bases.

On June 1, 2012, Gwynn was part of a Dodgers lineup that featured the sons of five former Major Leaguers (along with Jerry Hairston, Jr., Iván DeJesús, Jr., Dee Gordon and Scott Van Slyke). This was the first time in Major League history that this had occurred. In 103 games in 2012, he hit .232 with 13 stolen bases. He was designated for assignment on August 6, and accepted an assignment to AAA Albuquerque, where he hit .338 in 19 games.

Gwynn started the 2013 season with the Albuquerque Isotopes."

This is late to the conversation but regarding Powerball...I wasn't going to do it either because I also realize it is "a tax on the poor and those who don't understand math" - Dave Ramsey. So my whole office was chipping in together and I said no. Then I had this vision that they win it and all quit their jobs and I am stuck with a whole different slew of a-holes as opposed to the group now, which I actually LIKE. So it was the worst peer pressure ever...but yeah we are all still working there, needless to say. :)

Congratulations! Just seems like yesterday you were planning the wedding, lol. Have fun Friday, I am going with my mom and sister on Saturday. It is my mom's birthday and going to the game is what she wanted. Should be a lot of fun!

Yeah, Brian's parents surprised us with tickets for our anniversary. I hope the Brewers play a little better than they have been! Oh well, it's still fun to go to a game at Miller Park! Have fun Saturday!

Happy anniversary! I will probably be going on Friday or Saturday too. I went today and it was awful so hopefully they can step it up. I start working again next week so I feel like I need to go to some games when I still have a lot of time on my hands.

Thank You! Yeah, we wanted to wait until the weekend to 'celebrate' and his parents got these tickets quite a while ago and surprised us. We're taking off of work Friday so we'll have plenty of time to get to the game plus have a 3 day weekend.

Yeah, you better enjoy a few games before you start working for the summer! I heard todays' game was pretty bad so I hope they play better this weekend!

Yeah it was a rough game to sit through. What made it even worse was that there were so many kids running around it was ridiculous. There were elementary and middle school kids running around the concourses running into people, yelling obnoxiously the entire game, and there were drunk high school kids on their senior skip day just being really annoying. This whole group above me got kicked out because they were throwing paper airplanes at us. Some old lady who got hit stood up and flipped them the bird which was probably the highlight of the day.

You were at the game today? Oh that had to be painful to watch!

LOL, a little old lady flipping the bird! That's funny! Gotta watch out for those old ladies!

How come so many kids? School isn't out yet is it?

I think a lot of kids were on field trips with their schools, and high school seniors were all skipping out to get drunk and go to the game. I wasn't able to go to my senior skip day Brewers game because I actually went to Oshkosh that day and won an award for my work on my school paper which was cool but just bad timing.

Eh that's really the only nerdy thing I did in high school. I guess if you count DECA and FBLA as nerdy, but I don't really think it is. I've thought about going into broadcasting or journalism actually, but that's just such a tough field to find a decent job.

Oh and by the way, I skipped school a couple weeks later with a couple friends who didn't go to the first, and we went to a game. My amazing parents felt bad that I couldn't make the first one so they called me in sick that day.

What I never understood is why Gilligan was so reviled when right in the theme song it says, "...if not for the COURAGE of the FEARLESS crew, the Minnow would be lost!"

He was a hero.

People need to stop the hate. Gilligan is no longer with us. Let him rest in peace.

I sat in Club Level once, and it was decent. There were a ton of old people around us though so the energy level wasn't very high. It's better than having obnoxious kids running around though.
