Highly highly unlikely, but I expect a great season out of him.

There's probably more of a chance for "NL MVP: Justin Upton"

one guy predicted Freeman would win the HR crown.

I said in the TC gamethread that he will garner some MVP votes.

Good chance to hit over .300 and get close to 30 homers, and you know hitting 4th in this lineup that he will get 100 RBI. That will put him in many people's top 10 lists.

We all know voters don't care about defense (Cabrera over Trout), so if he can go .300/30, he has a real chance.

upton's swing is more compact, which means he will hit for higher avg

freddie takes the ball the other way, which means he could hit for higher average, when he learns to cut down on his swing late in the count.

I think so many braves are going to have huge years that it'll be hard to name one MVP. MVP will come from another team

He still needs to translate success to the big leagues and OPS above .800.

Only 7 HRs last year.

yeah but he rakes in the Spring. If Freddie stays healthy he is in the top three 1st basemen in baseball, thats a fact.

Votto and Pujols and Fielder are superior to Freeman. Hands down. Even Konerko is better than Freeman based on last season and previous seasons. My guess is Freeman will be challenged by Goldschmidt for 4th best. Maybe Craig. Encarnacion and Butler are DH's primarily so they dont count.

The Phillies announcers are in love with him. These last two games all they've said is that he'll eventually win a batting title and maybe an MVP.

They should be. I'm not gonna say Freeman is going to be the MVP this year, but he will get a nice handful of votes. I guarantee it.

No one is saying it because there are 160 games left.
