Pretty impressed. Even more impressed with his hitting with two outs.

When his eyes work, he's a good hitter.

I'm looking forward to next year when his finger is totally healed. He said that it would be messed up all season.

Not hard to see Freeman as a .300/25-30/100-120 guy. But that is of course if Bourn and Prado are hitting ahead of him.

cool. he has really been amazing for us. especially when it is down to 2 outs and most time you think inning is usually over and he comes through time and time again. good stuff.

Pretty awesome for a 22 year old. He's got his OPS over .800 this season. He's dangerous when healthy. No somphomore slump here. Career line of .278/.343/.449 and growing.

Or you might be grasping at straws for an excuse to be a wet blanket.

"Freeman has had 422 plate appearances. 52% of those plate appearances have come with someone on base. 17% have come with at least two men on base.

Wright has had 475 plate appearances. 50% of those plate appearances have come with someone on base. 15% of have come with at least two men on base."

Lol. Cute way of trying to spin it. It's almost not obvious that David Wright has had more runners on base this year to drive in than Freddie Freeman has. Almost. Try to work around that all you want with percentages.

"Bourn, Prado, Heyward, and Chipper.. and Wright hitting behind... uhh... Andres Torres and Ruben Tejada.."

More Yakuzafro spinning. Say it dismissively enough, and maybe people won't notice the fact that Andres Torres and Ruben Tejada both have a .350+ OBP and do in fact slot in nicely with Prado, Bourn, and Heyward. After all, who ever heard of Andres Torres and Ruben Tejada?

Don't worry guys I am always completely objective and any argument with me constitutes an argument with statistics, the unassailable and inarguable truth.

"I guess if you don't understand the nature of percentages, that makes sense."

Nope. David Wright: 317 runners on base. Freddie Freeman: 306 runners on base. Wright has had more RBI opportunities. It doesn't matter if that's because he's played more when the topic is cumulative RBI. Giving me these worthless plate appearance percentages is disingenuous, baka.

"But comparing him to Wright is stupid."

Comparing them in one aspect of the game = comparing them as players?

11? So they've had equal opportunities? Not even going to look it up, that's convenient enough to take at face value. And it certainly doesn't validate your initial post implying that Freeman has had more. Rather than point out that this whole RBI thing doesn't mean much anyway, you took the 'Freeman has totally probably had more opportunities' stance, presumably without looking things up first. Backtrack and qualify all you want, but that's total wet blanketing.

Oh look, a thread giving Freeman props and Yak showed up to take a dump on it.

RBI comparisons between two guys in different situations is fairly meaningless, but the fact that Freeman at 22 has higher counting stats in ANY category than an MVP candidate is pretty cool.
