...better than "The Catch 1.0"? Victor Rojas was saying this was a little harder because he had to catch across his body. Looks like he had to jump a little higher too...

Dunno, both we're pretty awesome.

Baseball card printers should have those catches on all of his cards. Historical!

It's the equivalent of hitting 500 foot grand slams from each side of the plate.

Both great catches in my opinion, but the first one had more of a WOW factor to it.

My favorite part of yesterday's catch was the Angel fan at the rail starting to lean over the rail with his glove then as Trout closes in he pulls back and just watches. Kudos to that guy for the presence of mind to let Mike do his business!

I liked yesterday's better, for the reason Victor mentioned.

I got a feeling we'll have more catches to rate with this guy before the seasons though.

I was looking for a photo of yesterday's catch, after the game, but only saw videos. I'm hoping a photo shows up.

I've framed a few baseball photos so far (including two of Bourjos in the middle of a wall--climbing the wall--making a catch) and want to add one or two of Trout's catch in yesterday's game.

Another reason to have Trout & Bourjos in the outfield. Dueling Home Run robbers!

Both were great but the first was slightly more impressive to the eye. The extension was insane.

Vernon was closer to that ball and gave up on it. What a bum!

He said he backed off because Trout is the centerfielder and he thought he could make that play. Trout, that is.

1.0 is leading by a pretty big margin.

Thanks for putting that link there. They talked about it on TV today.

I'm probably the only one who prefers the second catch.

Someone on reddit made this height chart: http://i.imgur.com/Y5OXW.jpg

Looks like he got up a little higher on the second catch.

That's pretty good and thanks for the link.

It's the across-the-body catch that amazed me. I was standing near the TV at the time and just yelled "WHOA!" and nearly fell over in astonishment. :)

I thought the 1st one was definitely better. He was in a full sprint and reached back over the wall to grab the ball while slamming into the wall. 2.0 was great but he had ample time to position and gather to jump.

Ah... that chart explains why the first one *looked* more impressive... the wall is a foot shorter, so he got farther above it.
