Is his back a bigger issue than he has let on?

Has compensating for an injured back resulted in loss of MPH and location?

Will this ex ace be DL-ed soon?

Traded?

Released?

Dan looks depressed to me. He's careless about his appearance and he looks lifeless when the TV camera is on him.

He looked that way was pitching better and winning too in 2010 and 2011.

So does Santana. Maybe they miss Mathis? Maybe they both realize they're option isn't going to be picked up...no matter what...and they'd have to re-sign at a lower amount...if at all?

Dipo better get a deal or two done for some pitching, both starting and relief.

He has both Morales and Borgeos, and some prospects to deal. If he doesn't do something soon, then it will be obvious that they are going to play out the season with eyes on next year, which in reality might be the best plan.
The next week or so will tell the story.

The 2 people we should not trade are morales and bourjos. They may
Easily have break out years next year and are too valuable.

You know what is valuable a starting pitcher especially if Harne and Santana cannot be relied upon. Frankly we can survive this season without Morales or Bourjos but we won't survive if we don't have neither a fourth or fifth starter. And if Williams is our third starter we are in big trouble. Never say never in regards to trades.

True it would be a risk if we trade either Bourjos or Morales but we are trying to win it all this year and that is the whole reason you sign guys like Pujols and Wilson and you try to win it all while those guys are in their prime every team has a clock that closes and you can't play wait till next year forever the angels are not that type of team if you like that approach become a Pirates fan because you don't spend like Arte did and refuse to deal players because you might risk losing out in the future its all about now really.

And while both Bourjos and Morales are talented they are however flawed players they are not on the level of Trout or Pujols they can be traded for the right package.

Remember, we traded Saunders, Skaggs, and Corbin for Haren, because we wanted to win then. Two years later, we're trying to replace Haren. THIS is the problem with the "trying to win now" attitude.

The Angels have the third best record in the American League (and have GAINED ground on Texas and New York since May 1)....despite the problems with Haren and Santana. The Angels will be fine this year. Dipoto is trading from strength, and shouldn't be throwing out the future, for the sake of "winning this year". Didn't work in 2010. Don't want to muck it up this time.

" Two years later, we're trying to replace Haren. "

"We" as in you?

""We" as in you?"

"We" as in media articles. Even Haren is talking about it. I know some of you prefer to be in denial. It's things like that, that had us suffer through Abreu.

You stated we're trying to replace him. As if we're looking for a replacement now. The article was about what to do this off-season with regard to his option. Not the same thing.
