Mud hens starting rotation was to feature

Turner
Oliver
Below
Wilk
Crosby
Smyly (just for one start)

They started the season with
Oliver
Wilk
Weber
Crosby
Smyly

A week into the season
Oliver
Crosby
Weber
Garcia (up cause Fister hurt)
Ni

After injuries to Ni and Schlereth being sent down and Weber up
Oliver
Crosby
Garcia
Teufel
Waite - really a reliever but is been pressed for innings

Right now, they are hoping for Fister and Turner to get healthy in a hurry.

And through all this, Toledo is
12-7
Thanks to some really good offense.

Kind of the opposite of Detroit, if you think about it.

At least we're getting a look at Below, Smyly and Wilk right now. Of the three, Below and Smyly have made their cases for spots on this pitching staff. Wilk, maybe not so much.

Turner and Oliver just need to get it together down in Toledo over the next couple months. I'm sure they'll get their shots further down the road.

My hope is that Fister comes back mid May, and the Tigers and Mudhen rotations look like this:

Verlander
Fister
Scherzer
Porcello
Smyly

Turner
Oliver
Wilk
Crosby
Weber

I'm on the road babe, headed out of the nice cool Gulf to the hot D.C. area so that we can cool off.

Go figure.

Hopefully as far away from a diamond as he possibly can be.

Turner may be about to get on the fast track. He's going to be working hard to get back to the bigs.

Honestly, dude was thought two monts ago to be the shoo-in 5th starter. Now he's throwing four scoreless innings in A/rookie ball.

That's what he better be doing at this point, and the fact he's in Lakeland and not Toledo ought too tell ya something.

Miner just getting to Erie the other day, is closer to being on the big club than Turner is.

We should have picked up a fifth starter when we had the chance.....That may come back to bite them....

<in Lakeland>

I don't think he ever left.

The probably wanted to keep him working down there in warmer weather to stretch him out and rehab him.

He's probably got another start or 2 down there before he moves up to AAA.

I'm sure that's the case. I'm just not very sure that getting 12 guys out in a row has him back to being the HYPE machine he was.

I hope he gets back to TOL soon. The sooner he does, the sooner he can (hopefully) win a few games, and the sooner we can deal him.

Turner has HYPE, and hopefully it will move along to another team soon.

In my opinion, Miner is less talented than Turner, Smyly, Below and maybe Wilk, though it seems that Wilk has to be perfect and needs an ump that will give him the edge of the black.

Um

Wasn't really anything out there.

Wasn't anything willing to trade.

<shoulda>

Threw Fielders money (1/2 of it anyway) at CJ Wilson.

Traded the farm for Gio.

Instead Texas and Washington got them. They are both in first place too. And at this point (IMO) superior to us.
