This blew me away..! And here I was complaining how David Glass practically robbed Jackson County tax payers of 80million dollars.. I would of never thought that the surety municple bonds that backed that debt.. Where rendored worthless by a company that filed bancruptcy.. JP Morgan.. Thats right! JP "Sorry we lost it all" Morgan is now the current surety bond holder..

Just thought this would be an interesting old read.. I realize that this is old news but is kinda new news because the Investment bank that holds these bonds just lost a possible 4 Billion with a "B" dollars...

Could this be part of the reason Glass cant afford anything? Who knows, but that still doesnt provide solice in the fact that 80 Mil was spent of taxpayer dollars to upgrade a stadium so we could have our "ALLSTAR GAME"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you think Glass is liable for any of this? I don't think he is mentioned in the article.

Jackson Co. and the Sports Authority could be liable for some additional money ($300k?). Sounds like they need bond insurer. There are others.

No real news here, just proof that the rating system is as shaky as the U.S. economy at present.
