Campaigns get brought up all the time and have been started for all sorts of reasons to make change for various institutions.. When people didnt want to see the uber ridiculous 5 dollar debit card fee at Bank Of America they rallied together and put a stop to it.. When tech companies wanted to stop SOPA they did blackouts in protest..

I guess my question is.. After so many ridiclous seasons washed down the drain and ever since David Glass took over this ballclub.. How come the pitchforks and torches havent come out yet. As much as David Glass might feel he owns this team it not really his team.. In my opinion it's a team that belongs to KC as well as the tri-county area around the stadium that pushed millions in taxes to help renovate that sparkling new stadium with that massive Jumbotron(One of the largest in the nation I believe) sitting in the outfield... What was it like 80 mil that taxpayers pumped into that stadium. All to keep David Glass and his losing ways in Jackson COunty til 2025....

I may have moved to Jersey to pursue my Army career but my heart will always lay in KC.. My hometown.. I cant believe nobody does anything ever about whats taking place on that team..
Nobody does anything but kiss the butts of the like of Dayton Moore or Glass or Brett... Expecially Brett.. If I were him I would be more angry than anybody.. He had the opportunity to try and buy this club.. So did other passionate people.. But for some reason the only dude that was allowed to buy the team was David Glass.. <--------Does anybody even know where this POS lives? I bet anything its not even in KC.

When I tell people that I am a Royals fan they always say the same thing.. "really, why?" I always give them the same answer of "Home is where the heart is" but what does that even mean when your hometown team is owned and operated by people who couldnt care less about making a real winner..

Now before people go off and start engaging in finger pointing and protective responses and rhetoric that deflects from the main point. I do believe that this team has absolutly no intention of winning.. NO WAY! Beacuase if they did they knew full well that our rotation was the worst in the league..

Did they do anythng AT ALL to improve our rotation this last offseason that could bolster a winner...? Nope.. Oh you think that trading for sanchez was a move? Or Re-signing Chen was enough.. ?

There was a billion opp... last offseason and Dayton didnt try for any of them... Gio. Shields. Cahill. hell any arbitrary pitcher that had roatation skill could of been had for a price and the only thing that Dayton did is trade one of the best pieces of offense for what could only be described as a very very poorly scouted pitcher because this should been detected.. Whats worse is they keep running pitchers out on the mound that fail miserably so consistantly you cant help but shake your head and KNOW yourself sitting from your couch could phone in on game day and manage this team better than the current managers are..

Its time KC did something about it! You could say anything you want.. If enough people stood up and did something, things would happen.. But the truth is with the talent we have on the team currently David Glass stood by and did absolutly nothing to help them! Another year another Joke...

So my hat goes off to David Glass... Thanks for bringing your cheap disgusting welfare walmart ways to a ballclub that needs anything but in a small market.. small market what does that even mean anyways... <--- small markets can make big money.. IF THEY WIN!

Heres some advice for some Royals front office folk..! Go spy on the Tampa Bay Rays.. They seem to have a few things figured out.. As for what I see of the Royals David Glass is still reading the "Owning a ballclub, for dummies" book and needs to be run out of town or forced out of ownership...

IM TIRED OF BEING A FAN OF A LOSER.. SO SHOULD YOU!

I figured nobody would even touch this... Stealing 80 Million from MIssouri Citizens and getting away with it makes people so angry they say nothing... That is practically what David Glass did..

So bend over Red Rover let David take over!

The answer to the problem is simple....fans need to not make ticket purchases for games in 2013. Dos Glass will be on the hook for payroll in excess of $60M. If fans just refuse to buy tickets, and they lose money owning the Royals, they will sell.

If the fans have had enough of Dos Glass, they have it within their power to take back their team...but the only way to do is to Just Say No to the 2013 Royals.

Fan Strike 2013.

I trust this was in jest. At least it should be...

Nope, not in jest. I realize others already have the rope swinging from the Tree, but I know myself and others haven't hollered for the rope yet....=-)

The refusal to purchase advance tickets may be quite effective in that regard. It does not preclude the purchase of single game tix, and Ownership would get the message. It takes a lot of solidarity, but many things worth doing are not easy.

Well, you have to call it off at some point. Seems this city has a habit of "one last chance..." One last start for Kyle Davies. One last season for Hoch to "get it together". One last chance for prospect X to see if the 10th season is the "one". [hyperbole on last count]

It's bad business to not realize that you can't sit around and hope for things to change. You need to change it with positive action. To expect the pattern to change, well...

So what positive action are you taking?.......that's what I thought.

No, I will not be a fan of another team.. And as it seems I am annoying nobody but you!..THEPROCESS... Everbody here is thinking the same way and I am just spelling it out a little louder than normal.. Since David Glass took over this team it has been a horrible team.. And many nomenclatures have been associated with this club. "farm team for the mlb" "the little AAA team that could" etc etc... If David Glass wanted to make money cutting razor thin margins he chose the aboslute poorest genre of business he could choose.. PRO BASEBALL is a fan driven business.. AND YOU DONT GET FANS FIELDING HORRIBLE TEAMS..

Besides it only a matter of time before we see ads like "SAtin Dolls" on the backstop pads during the outfield angle of a pitch camera.. <---hopefully people know what I am talking about..

But back to what you said.. IM A FAN.. AND THIS IS MY TEAM AND ILL CRY WHINE COMPLAIN IF I WANT TO..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There will always be a certain amount of people who go to watch games.. Its kind of a natural thing to do often times.. Go to a ballpark and watch a game.. SO thats gonna be hard to do.. But Fan Strikes during games.. Entire outfield sections holding up a collage of signs that spell "SELL THE TEAM DAVID GLASS" or "NEW OWNER PLEASE" every team that came in to town and televised games would most certainly see and televise images like that.. Other fans would take pictures with phones.. STart websites that are titled FIREDAVIDGLASS.com! All kinds of stuff that could either inspire change in the orginization or the sales of our beloved team to somebody else.. That person that hopefully has an ounze of passion for winning baseball..!

Empty seats are the only thing that matters. If some fool buys a ticket, then holds up a sign & walks out.....do you think Dos Glass care? They have your money. And then the same fool probably hangs around, buys a hot dog & beer, and watches the game from the concourse. He then drives out of the parking lot where he paid $10 to park.

But if a fan just doesn't buy a ticket in the first place.......an empty seat speaks volumes. Imagine 35,000 empty seats at every game at the 'K' next season. If Dos Glass has to manage a $60M payroll with $10M in local income.....they will sell. If the fans take away their ability to profit off the Royals, they will sell.

Dos Glass owns the Royals, and runs them the the way they run them for one simple reason....they make millions of dollars every year doing things this way. In their mind, if I can make $20M running this team with a $65M payroll, why on earth would I spend $85M on payroll? I stand to make alot less money. If I can get enough stupid people to pay good money to watch a losing team year after year, why change now?

Yost is under contract through 2013, and Less through 2014. Do you think their is any chance Dos Glass wants to pay for 2 managers or 2 GM's? Wins aren't nearly as important as profit. Yost & Less are here until Dos Glass doesn't have to write a paycheck for them, as well as their replacements.

then i guess the next question would be how do we get fans to strike? how do you get the word out? and furthermore has a campaigne like this ever been attempted before and if so did it work?

I am mad because they don't seem to care about the losing. How many coaches have jumped into the shower fully clothed to break a bad stretch? None that I know of since the immortal tony Pena.

Easy, Killer. Don't bite my hand before I get a chance to answer your question. My use of "You" was misplaced, hoping that the reference to business in the preceding sentence would tip off that the "You" was directed at Rs management [just slinging my weekly frustrated criticism their way], not at you.

However, I have decided not to purchase advance tickets the past 2 years and have also resolutely chosen to not condone a losing attitude in general regarding the Royals. I'm really not sure what more the paying public can do. Since you asked.
