Campaigns get brought up all the time and have been started for all sorts of reasons to make change for various institutions.. When people didnt want to see the uber ridiculous 5 dollar debit card fee at Bank Of America they rallied together and put a stop to it.. When tech companies wanted to stop SOPA they did blackouts in protest..
I guess my question is.. After so many ridiclous seasons washed down the drain and ever since David Glass took over this ballclub.. How come the pitchforks and torches havent come out yet. As much as David Glass might feel he owns this team it not really his team.. In my opinion it's a team that belongs to KC as well as the tri-county area around the stadium that pushed millions in taxes to help renovate that sparkling new stadium with that massive Jumbotron(One of the largest in the nation I believe) sitting in the outfield... What was it like 80 mil that taxpayers pumped into that stadium. All to keep David Glass and his losing ways in Jackson COunty til 2025....
I may have moved to Jersey to pursue my Army career but my heart will always lay in KC.. My hometown.. I cant believe nobody does anything ever about whats taking place on that team..
Nobody does anything but kiss the butts of the like of Dayton Moore or Glass or Brett... Expecially Brett.. If I were him I would be more angry than anybody.. He had the opportunity to try and buy this club.. So did other passionate people.. But for some reason the only dude that was allowed to buy the team was David Glass.. <--------Does anybody even know where this POS lives? I bet anything its not even in KC.
When I tell people that I am a Royals fan they always say the same thing.. "really, why?" I always give them the same answer of "Home is where the heart is" but what does that even mean when your hometown team is owned and operated by people who couldnt care less about making a real winner..
Now before people go off and start engaging in finger pointing and protective responses and rhetoric that deflects from the main point. I do believe that this team has absolutly no intention of winning.. NO WAY! Beacuase if they did they knew full well that our rotation was the worst in the league..
Did they do anythng AT ALL to improve our rotation this last offseason that could bolster a winner...? Nope.. Oh you think that trading for sanchez was a move? Or Re-signing Chen was enough.. ?
There was a billion opp... last offseason and Dayton didnt try for any of them... Gio. Shields. Cahill. hell any arbitrary pitcher that had roatation skill could of been had for a price and the only thing that Dayton did is trade one of the best pieces of offense for what could only be described as a very very poorly scouted pitcher because this should been detected.. Whats worse is they keep running pitchers out on the mound that fail miserably so consistantly you cant help but shake your head and KNOW yourself sitting from your couch could phone in on game day and manage this team better than the current managers are..
Its time KC did something about it! You could say anything you want.. If enough people stood up and did something, things would happen.. But the truth is with the talent we have on the team currently David Glass stood by and did absolutly nothing to help them! Another year another Joke...
So my hat goes off to David Glass... Thanks for bringing your cheap disgusting welfare walmart ways to a ballclub that needs anything but in a small market.. small market what does that even mean anyways... <--- small markets can make big money.. IF THEY WIN!
Heres some advice for some Royals front office folk..! Go spy on the Tampa Bay Rays.. They seem to have a few things figured out.. As for what I see of the Royals David Glass is still reading the "Owning a ballclub, for dummies" book and needs to be run out of town or forced out of ownership...
IM TIRED OF BEING A FAN OF A LOSER.. SO SHOULD YOU!
