Not quite, now there are co-pitching coaches...we really know how to establish credibility and professionalism. What's next, dual catching coaches? One who teaches how to catch the ball and one who teaches how to throw? A bases running coach? A grass coach? How about a coach for Dinger?

I forgot, 2 3rd base coaches, one to say stop, one to say go? Do they have a sign for staying on the bag? Oh maybe they reassigned that guy and now he's a special assistant too. That's why Scutaro missed it the other night.

I hope you're right. The head that needs to roll is O'dud's, of course. Yeah, the pitching coach needed "refreshing" but all Apodaca had to work with was what O'duh supplied him with.

The official word is that Apodaca requested the reassignment--Trace said the man was mentally & physically 'tired," is that only a cover story? Anybody know differently on this?

Co-coaches, oh, lordie. A 4-man rotation; 75 pitch limit--the Rockies are really gras0ping at straws.

DLR isn't expected back til Sept at the earliest; Chacin & Nicasio are both on 15 day DL. Honestly, I think Jeff Francis is a breath of fresh air! That's how sorry a** we've become.

But hope springs eternal in the game of baseball. I hope O'duh, the "best GM in the league," is the next to go.

I listened to the Cowboy in an interview today. He say's Dak wanted to go. Maybe it's a cover who knows. He said he was just probably tired of it all. I can't blame Dak for all of this. As you said that's what he had to work with and Coors is a tough place to pitch. But, often in any business if your team fails you fail and you're the one to go. I'm not even sure if I'm out for "The Dan". I'm thinking who's scouting these guys? But again Dan is ultimately the one putting his trust in his hired scouts so okay he has to go too.

Who scouts these guys has to answer to Dan, right? No, I'm becoming convinced that Dan is a huge part of the problem, as it's been pointed out to me repeatedly this summer that the Owners will be happy with the product on the field as they laugh all the way to the bank.

A boycott is never going to happen, alas, for all the reasons delineated by Saturn & others. Not every one rooting for the Rox are rabid fans like we are.

But I keep thinking about Billy Beane & his success with the A's (I didn't read the book, but Moneyball was pretty interesting). We need that stat nerd to tell O'duh what pieces we can get for cheap to build a team. Of course, Dan would actually have to listen and think thru all that, so even an Einstein mathematian maybe wouldn't be enough for O'd.

Doesn't it seem like there's a fantasy land in the FO? Tracy always the up-guy; the owners saying he & Dan have jobs for life; Dan telling us ad nauseum we have to be patient while the young talent gets strong? (Cripes, Christian just gave up a standup double. And now a single.) It's all about the pitching, dudes...

But I'm sliding over to WinR's camp, & I've been reading a lot about the Rocks' problems & O'duh's shortcomings. Man, if I had as poor of a track record at my job as DO'd does, I'd be canned so fast, & I bet that's true for all of you as well. Thirteen years & only one trip to the WS--with all the talent this club has had?! Both O & D--maybe not pitching except for a few good yrs from Ubaldo; and oney, what 4 years over .500? There's a systemic problem with the decision-makers.

Heads never roll in the Rockies organization. They just move to a new office. I don't think Apodaca was much of a pitching coach, but the problems go so much deeper it is laughable to think that putting his name plate on different door down the hall is going to make much difference.

I just said this on the article on the home page, but I'll say it again, because it's just so preposterous.

Where else in the entire world would this happen? You s uck at your job, and so you ask your boss not to make you do it anymore, and will he please give you another job? And the clincher . . . he does! Gaaaaah!!

Anyway, I wouldn't at all doubt that it didn't even happen this way; that he actually WAS fired, and they're just spinning it this way to make it look better for him. Who knows.

One way or another, it is all semantics....accountability, Rockies style. Not doing your job? No problem, we'll give you another one where you can mess something up.

BECAUSE EVERYONE IN BASEBALL KNOWS THAT IT'S DAN O'FRAUD'S FAULT THAT THIS TEAM HAS FALLEN OFF OF A STEEP CLIFF....everyone, that is, except The Monfart boys.

4 man rotation with 75 pitch counts (this is something you do in the minors)? Co-pitching coaches? Insisting that washed up pitchers and imbecile 2nd basemen are going to turn it around? Scouting disasters? Drafting disasters?

ALL of the above are attributable to O'Fraud. Even IF the paid players actually played for pride and honor and to win, O'Fraud would find a way to trade it all away.

Chief disappointed me by letting his feelings go public. But I do not fault him one iota of a bit for the way he feels about this org. He could pitch .500 for the rest of his career and he'd smell like roses every time when the subject of the Rox and he comes up. Good for him getting out of here.

And good for Holiday, and Torrealba, and Carroll, and Seth, and Hammell, and Lindstrom, and Street, and Reynolds, and McHenry, and Barmes. All but one or two have had more exciting years since leaving the org.

O'Dowd has as many "special assistants" as Obama has Czars.

BRAVO!

And they all are equally destructive and irrelevant in their respective positions.
