I thing LONGO is going to be another ROCCO! His head is not on baseball, We all know where his head is at. P.S. No hate mail until the season is over!

Could be. Seems to be a different kind of guy since his rookie soph years.

Plus ... maybe injury-prone ... extended healing times ... and very slow getting back into the swing of things.

???

If you've ever pulled a hamstring or groin, they are very real and painful, debilitating injuries. I've had both and it seems like they take forever to heal completely and pain-free. There is not much of anything anyone can do to "speed up" healing. It takes time. With some people, much more time than others. It's impossible to judge the intensity of another man's pain. You have to give him the benefit of the doubt.

OMG! Another one that thinks Jaime is messing with his head and making him forget about baseball and just about her......Give it a rest! If that's how you think then I guess any player who has a girlfriend or a good looking wife is having his head messed with.......Blaming a girlfriend is absolutely ridiculous!

Did you injure youself EVERY YEAR? Longo has claimed he was injured every year and at the beginning of the year, Why doesn't he take care of himself in the off season?

Yes! That is what I think and speaking of a Good Looking Wife why is it that Zoby could go out and promote his wife's CD but he's to sick to play?

I know he's a fun loving and free spirited individual but where's the proof that he is not taking care of himself in the off season... In fact, didn't he report for spring training a few pounds lighter this year?

If he played with himself more rather than with his girlfriend he would never commit 6 errors on the season with .900 fielding percentage. My friend who is shortstop knows something about this.

Correct, and for the Rays, 'it ain't over...' means until the annual playoff blowout concludes. Lol. I digress, back to Longoria. First, I'm glad that he has a girlfriend, whew! Second, if I were the op-manager, I'd walk him (conditions permitting), and make him run the bases as often as feasible. Press to test his taking an extra base, scoring from second on a single, or trying to break-up a DP. Third, he's a s*cker for a decent slider, and a nice curve. Just don't hang it...

You sound like I disagree, But I do agree with you. And what would he do if the Ray's were playing an NL team, take the day off and go to the Mansion?

I want the Rays to shut Longo down and manage to win without him. Using this guy as an excuse for poor performances is ridiculous! The guy is an automatic out on any ground ball and could probably get thrown out at 1B on a sharp single to right. He can't run the bases so he needs a pinch runner each time he gets a hit. If he isn't but 50% of a player what's the point? It's a roll of the dice each time he runs that he doesnt get hurt. SHUT HIM DOWN NOW !!
