There must be a weather forecast of heavy showers .

There is, the forecast is calling for heavy amounts of hits coming off the Indians bats and nothing but zeros from the Indians pitching staff.

Has anyone noticed that if this losing streak continues for two more games the Indians will be tied for 3rd place with these Twins?

I think we need to keep this streak going. It may be the only way to get some serious changes starting with Acta now, and then Shapiro and Atonetti at the end of the year.

They also should be dumping more than just one guy a day. Why do we have to see Duncan, Kotchman, and Hannahan for one more game. ( they have no future with this team.) Bring up Donald and some outfielders, and like someone sugested, play Santana at first , maybe a little DH, and save our core players from getting beat up. Kipnis DHing a little, wouldn't hurt either.

If I knew for sure that a longer losing streak would be the final straw to make cleaning house the only alternative I would agree with you 100% but the way this organization has operated for so many years I really don't think that even with that there would be sweeping changes from top to bottom. Acta has never been a .500 or better manager and this year it looks like it is going to be worse then the previous year which in most cases would mean a change is needed but here they are on a 10 game losing streak and Acta is still the manager, how many other teams with what was supposed to be a promising year still have the same manager after they have fallen 10 and 1/2 games behind? Not very many. As long as the owner doesn't go into the hole financially I don't believe that Shapiro or Antonetti get fired. They claim they did the best they could but the players just didn't preform up to their expectations so it wasn't their fault especially if the owner didn't give them more money to work with.

I don't understand why they are doing this DFA'ing players so slow and one at a time, is there a rule you can't do it with more then one player at a time? Right now I see Santana as the alternative at 1st base and maybe this new guy Anderson but at 3rd if they get rid of Hannahan they have nobody for 3rd base unless they call back Donald and I can't understand why he hasn't been brought back before this. They have someone who can replace Duncan so why is he the Kearns from last year still on this team into August? Kipnis couldn't DH they have nobody to play 2nd base right now. I say bring up Canzler since he is supposed to be nothing on defense and see what kind of bat he has and play Santana the rest of the year at 1st and if they call up someone like Anderson then let Santana DH from time to time. It has been like they are just sticking to what they have hoping something will change.

I don't even want to think about what Deduno did against us last time. Diamond has owned us all year and Deduno could be headed down that same path. If these new pitchers for Minnesota keep putting up these numbers, look out in the near future, Minnesota has decent bats.

I don't know guys like this Deduno might not be all that good unless he is pitching against the Indians..... lol lol If him and Diamond are for real I think the Twins just might catch the Indians in the standings and be ahead of them next year too because like you said, they have decent bats to help carry the team

Even though Lillibridge can't hit his weight, he plays every position except catcher, and he can play 2b once in awhile for Kipnis in the dog days. They should just give Hafner the rest of year off, with one his million little injuries, and use that DH position to rest our good position players, and then also be able to look any these guys in AAA, that people want to see up here. If it is someone like Canzler, then he needs to show that he can play a position.

Rotating everyone in the DH role and including Canzler who they can at least get a look at would be a good idea except a lot of people feel the lineup is much better when Hafner is it it. Hasn't helped much during this losing streak.

Can we start batting first even at home? Not that it would matter, can't score anyway.

I have never seen a team with so many weak infield ground outs. Once again 2 on no out and nobody can even get the ball out of the infield. How many times have we seen that?

Everybody is trying to pull the ball. That is the fault of the hitting coach. They should just hit the ball where it is pitched.

He also has arguably the most power on the team, especially against lefties. He fills a niche role and shouldn't be replaced.
