I know that many of you are much more knowledgeable baseball fans than I am, but when a pitcher gives up back to back homers (4 runs in one inning), shouldn't we see a new pitcher to start the next inning? I mean what the fu%$ck! Gomez is terrible and getting worse! Is it time to call Columbus? Acta looks like he's snoozin' on the bench. We're only 1 1/2 up in first. EVERY game counts in a big way right now!

Not only did he NOT take him out like he should have, he let him BAT starting the next inning!!! We basically gave up an out for nothing. Did not see the the debrief after the game, but was he asked WHY he didn't pinch hit for Gomez after he got rocked in the 5th?? Poor job from Acta today for sure.

I doubt anybody had the "balls" to ask him why he made such an I-diotic move. I just wonder who he has to answer to, if anyone, when he makes these stu-pid decisions. At the time, I was thinking he was just trying to get Jenmar through the inning so he could have someone pinch hit for him. But to my surprise there was Jenmar up to bat to lead off the inning, and there he was out on the mound the bottom of the inning, and again getting hit hard and giving up an additional run. And guess what, with 2 outs, he pulls Gomez.... Can you say MOR-ON!

Who cares, did you see the ball he made contact with? He got closer to getting the hit than most of our real hitters...

You missed the point, I don't care even if he would have lucked out and got a hit. We are already down a DH, losing the game, it's getting late in the game, and he let's the pitcher hit LEAD OFF. That's not smart baseball. You may be fine with it, I'm NOT! It's bad enough we have no power hitters on this team, with a bunch of .190-.240 hitters, but then he won't pinch hit for Gomez??

I'm not fine with it, the problem is, who off our bench would even hit better? I mean honestly, our bench is a joke. We don't have a single player that I would want to come in and pinch hit. Cunningham, Duncan, Marson, Lopez ?

Honestly, Gomez has a better looking swing than Duncan or Cunningham....
