Will someone teach Victorino how to hit a ground ball or line drive? Do we need Maury Wills?

Victorino looks like he'd be a heck of a tennis player.

He's slumping right now probably just trying to hard to impress but, he'll be fine.

A baseball season consists of one-hundred and sixty-two games played over the course of five months. Players go through hot and cold streaks. I credit these knee-jerk reactions to fans who catch the Sportscenter highlights and Saturday or Sunday network games here and there. Someone goes 0 for 4 and they want them cut! You do realize that in baseball, if you fail seventy percent of the time, you are considered a successful player? I've never heard of anyone batting .1000 over a season. Relax. Victorino was a key cog in that Phillie machine that dusted us in our last two playoff appearances. He will be a valuable asset in this race and in October.

Yeah, Victorino just got here. Let him get some more ABs before we declare him worthless.

Sure he has 1 hit, but we are 3-1 since he came, and he called out Loney for being complacent and lazy/late.

I wonder if the so called "new guys" are actually sockpuppets for some regular posters that want to post and not be held to the fire later if their knee jerk posts end up looking bad.

Just as long as the "new" guys know they're not fooling any of us then they can do what they want. It's entertainment for me :-)

Victorino is just slumping, new environment, new team, new coaching staffs, however we're 3-1 with him hitting lead off, imagine what our team can do if he starts hitting .270-.320?

We'll be amazing :D

News flash he's hitting .255 for the year! He's been awful for a while, but nice try blaming it on switching teams.

********News flash he's hitting .255 for the year! He's been awful for a while,********

news flash, victorino was on fire the day we traded for him, post allstar numbers were off the chart, he had a line of 357/450/550 and scored 14 runs 5 stolen bases, then he put on the blue
and cooled, I'm thinking culture shock, trying to hard to impress, new house new bed, his routine was altered, it will take a bit for him to get settled. He was a huge part of a team and city that loved him, he was very active in the community there, which was a big part of his life
we are lucky to have him

I agree the guy came from the East coast to the west coast no warning for him, he's been a solid player for a long time. He'll be fine.

and he called out Loney for being complacent and lazy/late.

he really did that? If he did, good for him....I recall a number of games against the Dodgers when Victorino made them pay for not keeping him, and I think the guy will be just fun; besides, "the Crying Hawaiian" is such cool moniker!
