"OK, it is reported on this site that we are going to keep Dee active after his thumb surgery. I am guessing that he will be wearing some sort of lightweight cast on his hand and be a pinch runner"

Reading comprehension?

Keeping him active after surgery means they will have him working out and doing exercises while disabled, not keeping him on the active roster to pinch run.

They will not let him pinch run if he is on the DL.

He will be working out but will not be in any game until he comes off the DL.

I am still waiting for this to happen rockierod. I know that you are one of the wisest and most baseball savy posters on this board, so I know that you wouldn't post anything unless it was true. So any idea when the Dodgers will activate Dee while he is still in a cast, we could really use a good pinch runner.
