Off of twitter *Rival execs noting Astros are following path of Devil Rays: Field a team so bad that they will draft No. 1 or near top of draft for years.*

Seems kind of silly for them to say that, considering we haven't given up a real impact player and Luhnow & co. still haven't had enough time to shed all the deadweight they were left with and go into an off-season totally fresh with the freedom to make any moves they want and staff the team with their people etc.

Well, I don't mean a star, but I mean a guy who you can't just replace easily. Like a Wandy.

I'm starting to think it'll take a good deal to trade Wandy away... We'll see, unless there will be cheap FA SP that will be our vet/eat 200+ innings. I cannot see Norris passing 150..

the way I see it is that 13 million Wandy option is like a Limited No Trade. Its going to take a lot for the Astros to trade Wandy and his value as a SP has taken a major hit. So the Astros would have to take a lot on of his salary to get any thing worth any value in return. That is a nice way for a Agent to get a No Trade Without really having one.
