Silver lining today. Andrew Romine was 3 for 4. Really like this guy with the Angels in the future.

Ya who is this guy, heard talks of him, he's from our minors??
What position(s) does he play ss, 2b, 3b?
I like his start, let this new kid play.
No one we have now is hitting that good in those positions anyays.
Let him keepl playing, let aybar and kendrick take days off.
I like to see new players who get off to a hot start to keep rolling.

Angels could possibly be showcasing him to teams to whom he would be traded.I think his days with the Angels might be numbered.

Did you also miss how he made two dumb plays today? Just curious.

If Aybar got three hits and made two dumb plays there would be another thread about how stupid he was.

Throw to third was in time. Callaspo was late getting to the bag.
I think Callaspo has played well at third, but that is the second time, I can remember , he was late covering the base.

That being said, I would say Aybar is a better SS, both at the plate and in the field. Aybar has been hitting better and Romine had a one good day in a blow out game. Let's not get too excited.

Do you champion Austin on the Yankee board like you do Andrew here? Just kinda curious.

HAHAHA!!! Don't you guys have a sense of humor? Or did you miss "Romine 2013 = Izturis 2012". I did NOT say he's going to replace Aybar (yet). But, I do expect he will replace Izturis in 2013.

Austin is actually a guy who would be a great trade target for us. He could be q starter here next year unlike his all-glove no-hitting older brother.

Austin Romine has a career .158 Batting Avg in the majors, and .281 in the minors.

Andrew Romine has a career .188 Batting Avg in the majors, and .276 in the minors.

How do you get that AUSTIN Romine is a good hitter, but ANDREW Romine is not?

I did notice, he looked like the second coming of Aybar.

Get the out!!!! You're blaming it on Callaspo? You guys are rich. If you have to make a perfect throw in that situation it's a dumb play.

Also, with Trout up, he goes into second trying to break up a DP instead of trying to beat the play? Dumb play.

Just saying...

This is the major leagues and as
a fan I fully expect my team to make that play. A runner should not be able to advance to third on a ground ball to short.........just saying

Austin is a cather, old man. He could be in the mix to start here. Romine has no starting future here. Aybar in front of him and a much better prospect in Segura behind him.

Do you know what a utility player is? That's why I said he'd replace Izturis. Romine could EASILY become the Angels utility player when Izturis becomes a free-agent after this year (put that money towards signing Hamels).
