As a retired veteran of four combat tours, I see Sherman in today's terms and that would be as a war criminal.

We were criticized heavily for real and imagined things in Vietnam. I was assigned to in a Special Forces unit called Studies and Observations GROUP (SOG). It was a kick butt unit and I am proud of what we did...but I resent people like them using history to taunt fans of a baseball team.
